Trump is probably hoping it will give him leverage over China concerning their competition for Taiwan & global control of the AI surveillance state

I thought the US had massive oil resevers?

Greenland next?

So much for no more foreign intervention and wars.....

Well there is this little island by the North Sea with nuclear weapons and it’s becoming harder and harder to trust them having them.

"We are going to run the country until such time as we can do a safe, proper, and judicious transition."

Let's see how that goes.

After listening to that twisted fake news video I now understand why you post like you do. True, American oil is going to rebuild the petroleum industry in Venezuelan at great expense.

America will have a presence to stabilize the country while elections are held... All sounds good for the Venezuelan people.

Maybe Maria the Nobel Peace prize winner who actually won the last election but was forced to hide and flee will be able to run in a free and open election.

You need to stay away from the CNNs and other democrat idiots who put out twisted propaganda as it will end up twisting and faking you out too.

P.S. when this went down I thought of the FUBAR operation to retrieve the Iranian hostages when Jimmy Carter was president. They couldn't even get out of the desert without loss of life ..

Last night it is reported that U.S. forces went into a heavily defended area without American loss of life or loss of equipment.

But it is Trump and US oil that will be reaping the rewards as the US will be running the Country.

And who is this mysterious ""board of people.""

Presumably, including Donald J Trump.

Who will run the nation of Venezuela until such time as a judicial outcome can be achieved?

I'll take assorted oil tycoons and big business persons for 10 points please bob.  Saint2

A game we should never have gotten into in the first place, given the geography of the island.

And not really one we could ever hope to compete.

Down to the sheer scale of destruction that such weapons of mass destruction can unleash.

But we do indeed have subs with them on board, so....

Ugh.  I hadn't thought of that... but yes.  It's a possibility.

He's come out and said María Corina Machado doesn't have the support, so...

Im apt to ponder it will be Trump and 12 other angry men or thereabouts.

They are never going to leave once they get a foot in the door if you ask me.

Sorry, the video is not Fox News Sky727.

Yeah lets see how that one works out for the Venezuelan people.

At great expense im sure.

But it will be their own "great expense" if history and the reputation of these companies are anything to go by.  Saint2

Else im sure you will be correct, and big oil will build the perfect society.

After all they have done so well in the likes of Nigeria, Ecuador, Iraq, Iran, Libya, etc...

I think that was a strategic move by Trump to downplay her in this moment.
If he goes all in publically for her then he essentially puts her right in the crosshairs and she’d be in grave danger.

Not trying to defend any oil oligarchs but they couldn’t possibly do a worse job for Venezuelans than Maduro or Chavez.
