He doesn't "talk" he doesn't look for "root causes".

He acts.

Sometimes that's not a good thing.

We were founded to be a nation of self governance with checks and balances. We weren't set up to be the worlds police. Congress is supposed to be the one to vote for things like this, and it's specifically so that one person can't decide the foreign policy for everyone in the country.

A few years ago, a vast majority of the population never brought up Venezuela. It isn't a concern of the populace. But here we are. Neo Cons fill both sides of the aisle.

sounds logical to me.Don't you agree with that concept ?

I suppose Venezuela is a lot closer to home as opposed to 9,000 miles distant, all the same.

Still probably best not to poke the bear, even if it is a cub, imho.

I think this strike was WONDERFUL.  Iran may be next and I sense a Rope A Dope Trojan Horse for Vladimir is in play.

Have you read the morning NEWSPAPERS over in Moscow? I did. PRAVDA front page asks why Venezuela didnt use the Russian made missiles aginst the US Helicopters.

That eight million people fled,  alone is a Genocide by human proportions IMO.

Please

Well, since you said "please" let's unpack that with a dose of reality.

Firstly, fleeing a country, even eight million people, is not automatically "genocide."

Genocide has a strict legal definition.
Quote:Genocide is the deliberate destruction, in whole or in part, of a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group, defined by specific acts like killing, causing serious harm, preventing births, or forcibly transferring children, all with the intent to eliminate the group.

And secondly, yes, Maduro faces U.S. indictments, but U.S. charges don't equate to global convictions or proof of systematic ethnic extermination.

Conflating political repression and criminal charges with genocide seems like sloppy reasoning.

A bit like calling a traffic jam a natural disaster.

As to what im ok with, im not "ok" with any of it if im honest.

Still smells like misdirection to me, not that it won't turn a profit for those involved i should imagine aka the oil companies and their chums.
"Yet so it is, we see the illiterate bulk of mankind that walk the high-road of plain common sense, and are governed by the dictates of nature, for the most part easy and undisturbed. To them nothing that is familiar appears unaccountable or difficult to comprehend."

If Trump's consistent, Maduros sentence will get commuted.

Didn't say, suggest, or infer Vietnam went well in 1966, it surely didn't go well for the general public and Uncle Sam politically, but it went swimmingly for Uncle Sam's MIC partners. Yes or No

The Huey alone has made billions since its development, along with hundreds of other inventions, designs, and procedures, built the MIC into the behemoth it has now become.

Until peace is more profitable for the MIC than war, there will always be military conflict and war.

50-60 years later, the MIC is much more than Uncle Sam's partners now, in 2026 they are the decision makers and policy breakers, and occupy the lead seat in the table/war room

been that way for a while, it's just reality...

MIC wanted us in Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine, and now it's Venezuela.
