Maduro had to go; we can not like the process, but we live in a new world. The conservative think tanks believe the UK and Europe, Canada, Australia etc are a lost cause, it's why Trump is trying to annex Greenland and stave off  Chinese and Russian puppetmasters throughout Central and South America that have no morals or watchdogs protecting them from corrupted leaders.

Militarily, it makes sense, especially if we are headed for war, as many believe... 

Politically and diplomatically,we can piss, whine and moan but it's a definite stick to Putin's ribs on Ukraine.

We were founded to be a nation of self governance with checks and balances. We weren't set up to be the worlds police. Congress is supposed to be the one to vote for things like this, and it's specifically so that one person can't decide the foreign policy for everyone in the country.

A few years ago, a vast majority of the population never brought up Venezuela. It isn't a concern of the populace. But here we are. Neo Cons fill both sides of the aisle.

You might be able to call it 'ethnic cleansing'.
But even that doesn't work because the people
leaving and the people staying are the same

It's a mass migration out of the country and

illegal to leave a country (unless you are running
from the law).   And it's not illegal to run a country
