Or anyone else, including news channels and social media for that matter. 

Else im sure you will be able to point us all towards near 50 years of news to back the claim?

Where did those reports go, or why dont they exist? 

Equating all tensions since 79 with one ongoing war is a complete and utter cop-out, DB.

It's along the lines of suggesting two neighbours have been in a 47-year battle because they argued over a fence in 1979. 

At least stand behind Trump's actions without having to justify them with his repetitive lies.

We did help build your nation and had ancestors and family members ingrained in your respective fledgling states' societies.

I imagine that somewhat cushioned the blow of war...

And made reconciliation with the crown a possibility.

Additionally, was the "Treaty of Paris," which formally ended the Revolutionary War, not signed in 1783 as opposed to 1789?

Im apt to ponder that the article doesn't amount to any sort of real proof equating to a near-enough half-century war with Iran.

I mean im sure the BBC has been busy over the years shielding the likes of pedophiles like Savile from the public eye and trying to collect licence fees.

But that sort of conflict is apt to have made the 10 o'clock news at some point in my 51 turns around the sun...

Now, does it prove hostility, attacks, and proxy conflicts, arguably and quite possibly, but not a continuous war.

Plenty more where those came from. In fact, I would say that most national leaders are on drugs from time to time, legally prescribed and administered to them by doctors who must balance concern for the health of their patients with the need to keep them functioning beyond normal capacity. Do you remember the negotiations at Stormont over the Northern Ireland peace deal? The discussions went on, more or less continuously, for days on end. I don’t think any of the principals could have stayed the course without drugs.
