Syria isn’t my problem, nor is the Middle East.

That was a case study on my part to show that it doesn’t matter if someone chanted something. That guy did it. He went from fighting our troops, being in our prisons, getting a 10m bounty, to being in our White House just a year after the bounty was lifted.

So if people are going to point out Americans are hypocrites for not being celebratory for a new Middle East conflict because the leader said death to America, and Women’s rights were abysmal there… Let’s be consistent.

How many dictatorships do we support there with poor women’s rights at this moment? Which one nation was in the 9/11 commission report?

I think this is a fair line of questioning.

The world's more complicated than that alot more complicated. The Middle East even moreso. There are nuances, and with our 2 party systems, there are going to be divergent relationships and polices depending on who is in control

I wish it were different, but it isn't, so you put out the fires where you can.

Uncle Sam has paid money for "peace" when it's appropriate, and we've stuck our noses and forces into many places when it wasn't, and we did it anyway.

Been that way my whole life, wonder how much Carter spent smoozing Sadat, only to have hardliners assassinate him.

Now Egypt is barely a player.

We were really close to having the Saudis and Israelis recognize each other and try to coexist.

All the while there were obviously factions within the US, Israel and the Middle East who thought differently and had other plans

For Iran to go and launch missiles and drones at 11 different countries? WTH

Epstein! Epstein! Epstein! OK screw it, let's cut off ties to Israel that will show them...hell, if half of what I've read is true, it's a possibility.. but

Ive been brought up in a world where, if Israel is abandoned by the US, they will eventually be overrun, but not before much of the Middle East has nice new shiny glass patches where their capital cities used to be.

Thats world altering...nuclear war. I can easily rationalize, if hosting Bibi's son somehow keeps the Middle Easy from going nuclear then it might be the best outcome for 340 million Americans
