Hesketh appears to be the biggest US liability - he knows nothing about geo-politics in the M.E and has repeatedly contradicted himself/the president/military in reasons and strategy behind the current conflict numerous times every day; he seems too coked off his tits to know what year it is let alone speak coherently on the issue.  Israel appear to have a strategy based on Netanyahu's adress to persians to wait until a sign to overthrow the regime - but the US admin contradict this by refusing to cite democracy/fate of Persians as a reason for the war.

Trump seems a bit wiser despite all his faults and is openly admitting that the replacement Iranian regime is likely to be far worse than the last, but he needs to  immediately replace Hesketh with someone qualified for the job to avoid a WW3/China securing upperhand in energy wars scenario and announcve some form of plan to avoid international isolation.

All I get from your post is that nobody has a plan.

I think Iran is performing a kind of "suicide by cop."  

Now that you mention it ... yeah, you are right.   It kind of does look like that.
How else do you explain their bizarre behavior of tossing missiles at places like
Qatar and UAE and Cyprus and Turkey and Kuwait etc etc etc   Those places
have told Iran not to attack them because if they attack the Americans in those
places t hen they are really attacking their country.   But Iran isn't listening.

Iran refused to give up it's self-defense capabilities and claimed it has an inalienable right to enrich uranium, that's not refusing negotiations that is refusing to give up their sovereignty.

Iran refused to give up it's nuclear weapons program while at the same time they kept screaming 'death to America, death to Israel, death to Americas allies'.    That's not a 'defense program'.

They didn't attack any other country, Israel with USA money and the USA has and continues to do so.

Why not negotiate for Russia and North Korean to give up their nukes?
