I made the argument to "try" it.

What if there is a trade off for greater leniency to say what you want? See much red lately? Thread drift removals? Manners? Post moderation? 

It hasnt been intentional, but maybe it could be?

 I think people can mostly be responsible to a free opinion and be able to not attack each other personally. And only that and the most baiting drifts get removed.

But you muse see it, there is no other way but to keep bombing the crap out of the muslim world every time they get a little cocky and start attempting to steal our nuclear technology and produce their own weapons. You are failing to see that this has been completely effective for many decades. Assad's nukes, saddam's Osiraki nuke, repeated attacks on the Mullahs nukes, it's worked absolute wonders and up to this point complete success. There is no other way. You can't deal with these primitive types, the only way is keep bombing the absolute cr*p out of them. We were doing this to the Afghani's 100 years ago pounding them from the air. What's the other option? Go Obama style give 'em a load of dosh and let them continue developing nukes? The same tribal types that fund terror all over the globe and orchestrated, funded and armed the attack on 7/10. It doesn't work out like that with this lot, logic will never apply. They only understand one thing, being hit with a very sharp stick over and over and over again.

It's produced Iraq, Afghanistan, ISIS, mass civilian deaths, and radicalisation.

You're acting like flattening countries for decades has actually solved anything when it clearly hasn't.

Iraq became a disaster, Afghanistan lasted 20 years and ended with the Taliban back in charge, ISIS came out of the chaos, and Iran's nuclear programme kept advancing anyway.

"Bomb them until they behave" sounds tough but it's basically admitting diplomacy, intelligence and long-term planning all failed.

And calling millions of people "primitive tribal types" is just racist colonial language dressed up as strategy.

If bombing the crap out of the Middle East worked so well, the region wouldn't still be a complete mess.

North Koreans aren't trying to change the world, they just wat to be left in peace. They might have got a bit fed up of foreigners by the 50's you ever thought about that? The Japanese had devastated the country, then along comes much of the world to inbvade them again! The death tolls was insane, I had a Scottish mate who used to tell me the stories about the war. He reckoned it was a bit like the film Zulu, you just kept killing them like destroying an ant nest. From memory those they fought weren't generally the NOrks but Commies from China, loads of Chinese swarming towards your line and you just kept machine gunning the, they'd relentlessly send in wave afet wave never going short of gun fodder. Crazy, ideological then, but not now. Kim just wants his own system, yeah maybe a bit of south but he's no threat to the planet being honest and realistic about it. Unlike that of Iran.

It is clear, now, that it was just brinkmanship and that no-one wants a nuclear conflict. But they did make the threat and they have the kit to carry it off.

I'm amazed you can't acknowledge that Iran is developing nukes.

If they wanted to get weapons grade, it doesn't take years.

They are currently at 60% of weapons grade and according to the US and Israeli threat assessments, they suggested that Iran could get from 60% to 90% in two weeks.

From my calculations that should mean at that rate they should be able to go from 0% to 100% in 6.6 weeks, and yet it has been years, just to get to 60%?

They spent fortunes of oil wealth on this programme while the people are close to financial ruin.

Any independent state will consider develoment when they are in the sights of the PTB. I don't blame them really, Iran is targeted by certain elements for sure that desire it weakened through military action. Yet because of its religious stance and threat to the world through terror, there is absolutely no chance to risk inaction. There can be no other way than to ban these imposters to the nuclear world a ban from developing nukes. Too risky, too much of a threat to TPTB. If you believe they will risk giving Iran a chance in the nuclear field after 7/10 then no no no no no, that, is just not going to happen. 

The people who had expertise to know, and who have been directly observing Iran's facilities, have published that they weren't trying to get nukes.

And we have heard the 'intelligence sources' tell us there were WMD's in Iraq, too, when there weren't.

On the scientists front yes many were taken to the States. Class it as war booty. The scientists wanted it anyway. You honestly believe being taken by the Yanks was a bad thing when the other option was letting the Soviets get there hands on you?   You need to look at what happened to millions of Germans and German territories in the east of Europe once the USSR came in. those scientist were desperate to escape the USSR advance.

The USSR did grab a fair bit if territory, expanding its borders, after WWII, but some of those territories were directly fought over and liberated from the Nazi's, by the Commies.

For any fault it has the USA was better bet to that. That's just the way it worked. It was the second batch too. yanks had alraedy taken the first batch of German scientists pre 1939 in their escape from the Reich and the territories it controlled, leading to you getting the bomb first.

You say it was better, but the USSR ended, without violence or war, by the will of its people. And yeah, that led to weakness to allow a dictator to assume office there...

I see similarities to that happening right now in the USA. You seem to assuming that the US are the good guys, but I'm seeing millions of homeless, poor and incarcerated there, with untouchable super-rich and powerful.
