ver the weekend, we reported that in what some called a "watershed moment", Beijing ordered Chinese companies not to comply with US sanctions on five domestic refiners linked to the Iranian oil trade, deploying for the first time a blocking measure introduced in 2021 that was aimed at protecting its firms from foreign laws it deemed unjustified. Of note, China's refiners - including Hengli Petrochemical (Dalian) Refinery which was sanctioned last month and several other privately-owned processors - had been facing asset freezes and transaction bans. Hengli was the most ambitious target to date in China’s refining sector, and underscores US eagerness to push Iran to the negotiating table at all costs, even just weeks before an expected and long-awaited meeting between Trump and his counterpart Xi Jinping. 
Well, maybe not. In an apparent reversal of its blocking measure orders, overnight Bloomberg reported that China’s financial regulator advised the country’s largest banks to temporarily suspend new loans to five refiners recently sanctioned by the US over their ties to Iranian oil.

As Bloomberg notes, the moves highlight the balancing act Beijing faces as it tries to project defiance toward the Trump administration while shielding its largest state-owned banks from US secondary sanctions. Tensions are escalating between the superpowers just weeks before a long-awaited meeting between President Donald Trump and his counterpart Xi Jinping in Beijing on May 14–15. 

In one week,  some serious dialogue about the course of 21st century commerce on Earth is going to go on. I never agreed or supported this war, but more and more it seemed the most direct way to confront China's growing global Marxist/Communist threat. I actually wish we all could just walk away and maybe just let things be. But reality acts otherwise. The collective interests of entire societies are bound to collide in a world of free will. 

If China does not agree to agreeable things next week, whatever the hell that even means, I would think maybe carpet bombing Kharg Island and destroying all of Iran's power generation capabilities should certainly be on the table. Like Xi needs to know that it will happen, and I firmly believe it should happen as a strategic way of setting China, and the rest of the world back if things do not go according to plan. Better to give ourselves an edge and make everyone else desperate to play catch up. It would only be like a ten year set back anyways, maybe five in todays connected world. But gives us some running room to nurture the alliances that have value, Like Poland, Japan, the UAE etc.. France and Germany are no longer reliable, and Spain most certainly is not. Keeping them down by forcing the world to slow down for a few years with industrial development should humble alot of humans anyways. Too many spoiled humans who shudder at the thought of not being able to click a button for instant gratification.

We all need humbling, and a nice ten year energy emergency sounds just right. Neighbors can remember how to check their ego as they pool whatever aluminum and steel/tin cans from the dumpsters they can. Apartment complexes will be forced to turn green space into communal mini farms. But these are actually good developments. That chain of events would make people more serious about life. Cannot go five minutes over scheduled doom scrolling or video game time or the squirrels steal your fruit, the bugs get your greens, the dog digs a damn hole, and weeks of effort just gone. 

It will be good, people will get more sun, they will become close with their neighbors again, forced to cooperate just for the sake of financial survival. The extra outside time will net some good health benefits. The increasing cooperative interactions will increase mental health.

Maybe the creator made moments like this a reality because it brings folks together to remember who they were, and not what the machine has spent your entire life convincing you what it wants you to be.

Or China can agree to scale back its global government infiltration extortion racket and hash out agreeable terms. When it comes to government infiltration and mass extortion, that is Israel's domain, and we will sacrifice 400 million Americans to keep that reality alive!!! I got folks in this thread right now ready to die for Israel, so watch out China, everything burns!
