Just a few pages ago you said there were “deep rumors” Russia supplied Iran nuclear weapons without sources, and now you’re laughing at a member for citing an insurance companies report.

This administration has been proven to either outright lie, or be completely wrong multiple times through the conflict going back to the summer. The sensible thing to do would be examine all information to form opinions, no just our governments.

We were talking about how that member said "deep rumors" are that Russia provided Iran with nuclear weapons while dunking on people for using one of the largest tanker insurance companies as a source.

It's a clear double standard that has existed on this board and ATS. People will unironically just say "I heard this" without providing anything, get likes, and then everyone will make fun of people for using "fake news" sources.

Look, we can debate a sources claim with other information, and also acknowledge how far downhill legacy media has gone. But it's inconsistent to post very bold claims with "rumors are" while dunking on people for bringing something to the table in terms of tangible claims.

The reality is every "camp" of ideas has proven wrong multiple times throughout the conflict. Our government said the nuclear capabilities were completely obliterated in the summer while claiming they were weeks away before March 1. We've said the Strait would be open multiple times in the first month very soon. 

Members in this very thread dunked on others for saying the strait being closed could be prolonged while continuing to call people panicans for pointing out what kind of waves that could create medium to long term. 

So I don't see how common sense would be take the government at it's word. This isn't new or unique to just this admin. Skepticism is a tried and true practice going back many decades.
