Scott Bessent has taken credit for engineering a deliberate dollar shortage to trigger the collapse of the Iranian rial, causing widespread anti-government protests

Bessent described this strategy as "economic statecraft"  resulting in severe economic turmoil, including the collapse of major banks and a rapid rise in inflation

Mossad and CIA then sent agents and unsuccessfully attempted to arm the Kurds hoping to instigate widespread revolt 

They ignited riots and other acts of rebellion which lead to the murder, mass arrests and executions of thousands of Iranians

Iranians pleaded Trump for help, Trump stated "help is on the way!"

Then he did absolutely nothing

He passively sat back and watched as Iranians were slaughtered


There are MAGA members posting in this thread who claimed "any day now, the people will rise up. There will be civil war in Iran. They will topple the regime. All they needed was a little push"

That was a month ago

And now Trump is trying to build a peace agreement with the evil regime hoping it will lead to a joint venture to split the tolls in the Strait of Hormuz

Trump is willing to become a business partner with the same people who chant "Death to America" and sponsor terrorism 

Trump has not mentioned the Iranian people nor directly addressed them since his initial speech the beginning of this war

So you wouldn't complain if Trump sent in waves of unprepared troops, just to satisfy your word game fantasies?

Complete destruction of Iran’s Air Force, navy, nukes and air defenses is a win.
The table is set for the Persians to take their country back.
We did a lot of the heavy lifting and now it’s their turn to get cracking.
They are the ones who have to take it back.
It’s theirs to take.

Hopefully more nations get involved, besides just the neighbors because Iran’s Hormuz hostage situation is affecting a lot of other countries.

They’ve killed 40,000 of their own population for protesting(reality is it’s probably way more), attacked all their innocent civilian neighbors, and held hostage by mining an international trade waterway.

I can't see how unarmed protesters can do much.

Their nuke programme doesn't seem to be destroyed, unfortunately.

Nor has their capability to close the Strait, it would seem.

And I don't support either.

If Iran's goal is to NOT have an Air Force, Navy, leaders, nukes, or air defense well I guess you could say it’s “working”.

Looks like some people haven't grokked the difference between defeating the military and defeating the state. Still clinging to the old paradigm even after it's been thoroughly, er, exploded.

Other countries whose ships have been allowed to transit the Straits include Pakistan, India and China. Oil shipments aboard those vessels were, additionally, bound for several other Asian countries: the Philippines, Sri Lanka and Vietnam.
