I'd say one of the biggest transgressions was Nixon for ending the gold standard. That has probably had more economic impact than any other president in semi recent history. To me, that was way worse than Watergate, which isn't even as bad as some of the other spying admins have pulled since which barely got a conversation. I would say I think he was probably the most intelligent president between then and now, especially with geopolitics.
He had a really good interview a couple of years before his death. Man was prophetic.
