I'm thinking he's growing frustrated exhausting angles to get the strait opened without committing ground forces, or the absolute minimum of specialized ground forces. Somewhere knowing how deceptively insurmountable this turned out to be. 

He's thinking his ultimate goal, his version of George H. W. Bush's NWO, or ending a terrorist-funding aggression that cannot stand, is not coming to fruition fast enough.

All hinges on taking away the one remaining bit of control Iran has left.. A Swath of water comparable to a great lake.

He wants the ships sailing and Iran reduced to the petulant antagonist that fucked up his Abraham Accords and is now groveling for its continued existence. 

And he's taken to saber rattling with the best of them.  He's really good at it. He nailed Robert Greene's Law Of Power #17.

But its a lot of show around a very simple chokepoint to this entire conflict ending. And it could drag on for months squabbling over fees, and an inability to thwart Iran's ability to do this without a more comprehensive military assault. 

It's doable to take the strait, but Iran's guerrilla-like tactics of $40,000 drones is like a sea version of jungle VC picking off soldiers, only targeting Western and Gulf ships. So many more mines now. There would be many casualties.  

Lets just hope the unhinged bipolar approach doesn't make him a paper tiger and ineffective... Cuz All China's important ships get to pass.

Wait till you see what the real reasons for the "Ceasefire" are.  Wait till you see the results.

I guess I just find it ironic he dodged the draft multiple times... Yet many are being called unpatriotic among other names for disagreeing with him getting us involved in a war many find needless.
