Trump says he bombed Iran

It's a fair question... the spice must flow was/is/and will continue to be the reality.

Many forget the failed rescue mission, where we lost servicemen and a helicopter, in a poorly planned, complex mission. At one time, it included landing a transport plane in a football stadium nearby, where the hostages were. The transport plane had to have rockets installed to assist in taking off from the football stadium; there would be losses in the service men and hostages alike if it got to that step. It was all desperate AF coming off Vietnam, it was a publicly humiliating kick in the crotch for Uncle Sammy

Do you really think he knows how to play chess!!!

I think he'd have problems with tick tack toe, I mean he can't stick to a plan or strategy if his life depended on it, his little adventure into the middle east has proven that.

I mean he couldn't decide from one minute to the next why he attacked Iran in the first place, and now he can't decide whether to land troops or just pull out and go home.

Maybe Trump has a plan after all (?)

"The pattern involves contradictory messaging released hours before the market opens, such as claims of "great progress" in peace talks followed by threats of military strikes.  While Trump has been accused of using these mixed signals to drive down oil prices and boost stock indices, Iranian officials deny any negotiations are underway, labeling the President's statements as chaotic tactics designed to facilitate profit-taking for insiders"

He does seem to know a lot about sacrificing pawns.  Saint2

And with Trump's hubris, he probably thinks he can win at tic-tac-toe...

You can't make this shit up.

We don't believe the Iranians, but it's also the fact that most people don't believe Trump either, whilst a few here open wide and breath in that Trump stink deeply!!

America has kicked a lot of ass. See how it goes with Charlie Kirk and Epstein with what gets kicked next.

Simply, you are betting against Trump.

While I'm betting Rubio, Bessent, Miller, and Wiles, etc., will help Trump navigate through where the political damage is mitigated somewhat, if not completely.

Regardless, I don't think midterms or 2028 matter that much to Trump.

The official current DEFCON level is classified and not publicly released by the U.S. military or government for security reasons. Different military commands can also be at different levels at the same time.
Current Estimates (as of April 2026)
Open-source intelligence (OSINT) sites that track global threats and military indicators currently estimate the overall U.S./global DEFCON level at DEFCON 3 (sometimes called "Round House" or yellow alert).
  • What DEFCON 3 means: Increased force readiness above normal peacetime operations. The Air Force, for example, would be prepared to mobilize and deploy within about 15 minutes if needed.
  • This is higher than the normal peacetime baseline of DEFCON 5, but still far from the most severe levels (DEFCON 2 or 1).
Note that some specific commands (like CENTCOM, which covers the Middle East) are reported at even higher local readiness in OSINT assessments due to ongoing regional conflicts involving Iran, Houthis, etc.
The U.S. has historically never gone beyond DEFCON 3 on a broad scale (DEFCON 2 was used only for Strategic Air Command during the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis).

Im aware... but believe post-60s events are more relevant to today's Middle Eastern nuances and realities...

I could be wrong ... always look forward to your well-reasoned and thought-out responses

YOU said that Iran wouldn't sacrifice their own to go after everyone else.
I showed that you are dead wrong.

You are clueless.   The morals police are out in Iran.   The women who let their hair show from under their hijabs are constantly taken into custody and are tossed in jail to be raped and tortured.   That has not stopped.
