Trump says he bombed Iran
(03-25-2026, 10:23 PM)EXETER Wrote: As I understand it, Ukraine had figured out that Russia was losing more money paying compensation to the families of dead and injured Russian soldiers than they were taking in in oil revenues.  So they realized that if they could just keep that up for a while, Putin would run out of money and they would win the war.  That was before the Iran war started.  Since then, Trump paused the sanctions on Russian oil, so their income suddenly went up about $10 Billion, thereby prolonging the war in Ukraine.  Looks like Ukraine decided to reset the balance by taking Russian oil offline in the Baltic.

Energy wars have been declared within Europe

"The countries most directly hit by a 2m BPD Russian-barrel disruption are India first, then China and Turkey, while Hungary and Slovakia stay exposed through Druzhba. The broader impact lands on all importers through price because this is happening in an already tight global market. Stacked on the Hormuz situation the consequences to the oil and product market are dire . The size of the attack makes it hard to rebuild more quickly that say a 3-5 year time frame . This is starting to look like a WW with energy contention being the major choke point ."

This clip perfectly captures why Democrats are DONE with their own party.

Jon Stewart is asked if he would take Chuck Schumer or Hakeem Jeffries as his “starting quarterback.”

What he said next was brutally honest:

LIBERAL 1: “Does anyone really want Schumer or Jeffries as their starting quarterback?”

STEWART: “Oh, I don’t.”

[Shakes head]

“First of all, the idea that you would even consider them quarterbacks is—like I put them maybe on the O-line.”

LIBERAL 2: “Kickers?”

STEWART: “Yeah, maybe a punter. Special teams.”

“I don’t understand the idea of Schumer to begin with. His passivity… is beyond me.”

“And even the subtle adjustments that he makes… ‘I’ll curse more.’ Like, even that is all show, and it’s frustrating.”

LIBERAL 2: “Incredibly.”

LIBERAL 3: “They’re so removed from I think the day-to-day that just cursing seems like it will hit our hearts.”

Stewart wrapped up the conversation by personally mocking Schumer with a spot-on impression.

Republicans are a mess right now, but the Democrats somehow have it even worse.

Not sure about the evil communist left but from my centrist perspective, nothing has changed geopolitically and yes, the US is still losing.

Sorry I missed the Strait of Hormuz being opened….

What a difference a day makes I guess?

Personally I think the IDF should be using more white phosphorus and take all of Lebanon.

I'm not seeing any America haters on here.  Plenty of hate for the UK, though.

I can't quite grasp how a nation where a lot of people cannot afford basic foodstuffs, rent/mortgages, or healthcare.

Can manage to find $200,000,000,000 for a war....not war.

Especially, when they allegedly already won on the first day...

Depends how you define "winning" I suppose.

And "the evil communist left", as well.

Bullseye.......................... "IRGC navy commander killed in airstrike, says Israel defence ministerThe Israeli defence minister, Israel Katz, said the Iranian naval commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC), Alireza Tangsiri, has been killed along with other “senior officers of the naval command” in a strike overnight.
Tangsiri was “directly responsible for the terrorist operation of mining and blocking the strait of Hormuz” and has been “blown up”, Katz said in a video statement, according to AFP news agency.
Iran has yet to comment.
If confirmed, Tangsiri would be the latest in a string of senior Iranian officials targeted and killed since Israel and the US began their joint attacks against Iran on 28 February. Among the high profile assassinations are supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and security chief Ali Larijani." https://www.theguardian.com/world/live/2...55d361b1c2
