But I agree that Trump does not display the symptoms of Lewy body Dementia.

He doesn't have the Parkinsons shake that comes with Lewy Body Dementia.
He doesn't have the slow stiff walk (like Biden has) that comes with Lewy Body Dementia.
He doesn't shuffle (like Biden did).
He doesn't 'freeze'.  (like Biden did).
His executive function seems in tact.   With Lewy Body Dementia that goes early.
(and making decisions that people don't like doesn't mean his executive function is compromised)
He's mostly able to keep his facts straight ... even though he lies.
(His chronic lying is a separate issue from dementia)
He's not standing in front of people seeing things that aren't there. 
Hallucinations come on fairly early with Lewy Body Dementia.
We know nothing about his sleep situation ... Lewy Body Dementia people 
act out in their sleep thrashing.   All we know is that he doesn't get much 
sleep ... but he's been like that his whole life.

More likely to be frontotemporal dementia.

My husband has Parkinsons and now is 'Lewy Body Dementia suspect'
according to his Neurologist (Parkinsons specialist).
There is no definitive test for Lewy Body Dementia.
You can only by symptoms.
Trump is not displaying the same symptoms my husband has.
Lewy Body Dementia has a short life span.
On average the person only lasts 6 years from diagnosis.
And half of that is bedridden and completely out of it.

Hmmm..... what if these "talks" are with people who genuinely do want to see the fall of the regime? It's the way Trump worded this announcement that got me thinking.
There's no way the 'regime' is going to meet up with the US. BUT the possible 'new' people would. That's wehy the 'regime' is denyiong it, because 'they' aren't. Probably too arrogant to think there are 'other' representatives for Iran out there.

Sure.   It could be for personal gain.  He is a massive grifter.  
And it could be he's manipulating it to make the markets come up
so he doesn't look like such a failure.   Probably some of both.
