As to my fixation, well thats blind fear now of what Trump may do next.

Cuba would be my bet.

Trump gave Iran 48 hours to open the strait.
Otherwise he'd hit their electric grid etc.
He said that in a hot headed frustration I'm sure.
Now he says talks are going well and that he's postponing the hit.
I think the fact that Iran refused to back down and instead 
threatened to hit back is what is making him back down.

"If Iran’s fuel and energy infrastructure is attacked by the enemy, all energy infrastructure, as well as information technology... and water desalination facilities, belonging to the US and the regime in the region will be targeted pursuant to previous warnings," Iranian military spokesperson Ebrahim Zolfaqari said, according to ⁠state media.

 
Early Monday, Trump said he had called for the strikes on Iranian power plants and energy infrastructure to be postponed for five days, pending the success of ongoing talks. Trump said the announcement was made "based on the tenor and tone" of conversations between the U.S. and Iran over the weekend.
