Trump says he bombed Iran

Fars: General Gholamreza Soleimani, head of the Basij organization for the Oppressed, was martyred.

Yeah, it's that martyred part that's problematic through.

And we are back to the cut off the head, and two more arise analogy.

Is this really the way to win the Iranian people's hearts and minds?

Not to suggest the fella is not a complete and utter wrong 'yin.

But are they not apt to take umbrage, especially the hard-line, crazy fundamentalist sorts?

It just seems like there could be some serious repercussions.

And it will just be normal people who pay the price.

Because they like soft targets if we are honest...

Summer is apt to be rather interesting.

While Russia is certainly profiting from increased prices for oil and gas they are not blind to the relocation of US military assets to Romania which is way closer to Ukraine than Iran. Add the enormous new NATO infrastructure projects in Romania, the situation in Transnistria, Aegis ashore and a Greek prophecy of Constantinople/Istanbul being handed back to Greece by Russia after defeating Turkey in a future Greek/Turkish war to the mix for a bigger picture.
The whole martyr thing however...

The is a huge difference between "being martyred" and being a martyr...

Such distinction are between the faithful and their judge.

I think I would worry if we start seeing floods of mentions and depictions of glory associated with this man...

But is that happening?

And more importantly, where is that happening?

Jog on, buddy.

You sounded upset; your reason for being upset was as if all the sanctions had been lifted.

It's been demonstrated thats not the case. The lifting of some sanctions is temporary, and it is narrowly focused

FWIW, worth it, I hope your twisted wet sand-filled knickers are temporary, and the wet sand is narrowly focused too

Fair play but Trump lifting the oil sanctions would seem to basically let Russia sell more oil and get paid normally again, at least for a while.

Considering Oil is a huge chunk of Russia's income, even small changes equate to billions.

War with Iran war is pushing oil prices up.

So i imagine that will equate to helping fund their economy and war effort to some degree.

Seems there's a chance that this unrest spreads to the US
