He has won in getting another regional conflict started. With a lot of secrecy around just what the actual aims of this conflict is, looks to get America out of the Middle East and help stop Israel in its genocidal ways. He is winning there too.

Of course, the old five-dimensional chess. Silly me.

A nuclear deal would have been a lot quicker cheaper, don't you think? Not enough to satisfy Bibi, of course. And maybe not enough winning for Donnie, I guess.

We've destroyed their airforce and navy.  But there are 42 million of them over there and a whole lot of those folks WILL NOT STOP.  They are fighting a religious war for their imaginary Mahdi.   This is something that the administration totally misunderstood.  I'm sure they thought the normal people would rise up and take over by now.

But I was at secondary school when the first Gulf War took place.

A mixed establishment of all denominations(Queenspark Secondary School).

Primarily Christians(Protestants, some Catholics) and Muslims. about a 60/40 split in our favour. 

But i remember the heated debates and arguments that resulted from the war in the likes of R.E and Social Studies.

Calls for Jihad from some of our crazy 3rd /4th/5th year Muslim pupils.

People turning up outside the school in cars because of some of the playground fights that ensued.

And that was in 1990, when there was no internet or social media in place.

I can only imagine there will be repercussions in a few walks of life, and in a few nations around the globe.

I was totally blown away by the assertions in the media (CNN?) to the effect that Trump never expected... yada yada...

They must think Trump is sitting at a game console playing some sim.

"Surprises" are the stuff of media reporting... they rarely exist between modern rivals... at least none that anyone would ever get to report about.

First above all else TRUMP needs to shut up. Second, like you I have no idea as to WTF is going on. I only hope that Prez doesnt abandon all those Iran citizens who are against the ruling party. I cant confirm but newspapers in both Turkey and Syria are reporting that Russia and China supply planes are landing in Iran. I woud have thought all of the runways woud have been blown up. I use the TOR browser but I dont know whether its also corrupted by Mr. Google. So who knows!

Maybe for the Iranian leadership and those in Iran that buy what they are selling (some do and some don't).   But for the Western World it's a war against nutbag aggressors who have promised death to Western civilization.   Nothing religious about it from our end.

I also read that the 2nd Supreme Leader may have had one leg blown off. Thats a TBD. 

Whats telling is that YES, they were planning for a war against the Western World. Just for them to hang on this long is telling.  Along with controlling the Strait of Hormuz
