I would just temper your expectations on what can be achieved from the air.

Regime change is almost certainly not happening. In fact, I think between the shock and awe style of bombing, and going after their leader may have even unified enough of the people to make the regime stronger than before the bombing. People can hate their government while still coming together against an external threat.

Theyll likely maintain some missile capacity, both in launch and production. It’s a country bigger than Afghanistan with mostly mountains and more population. 

At best we can give them the black eye of a lifetime from the sky and then leave. 

The question is what happens to the strait. We were unable to put down the Houthis and take control of the mouth of the Red Sea. So people should be prepared for a long energy crisis if Iran holds to their convictions.

You can't really fully prepare for a crisis you can only power through the best you can. I'm not calling for a regime change per say, but a big black eye and some broke ribs with the message of you better get your shit straight our we will end you works for me.

British Leyland was managed very, very, badly.  There cars were rubbish.

When I was little, I sent them some drawings of a car that I designed.

Mind, it had six wheels and gull wing doors.

I got a very snotty reply saying that they had their own team of designers and didn't need my input.  Sending back my drawings.

Imho, her positives equate to the decisive leadership skills she showed during the Falklands War.

Arguably a good wartime prime minister.

She managed to restore a modicum of national pride to the country. 

When times were hard, and the people were down.

But she put a lot of them there, so....

It does not exactly balance out.

Comparable to the likes of Winston Churchill.

Meaning far better as a wartime leader than a peacetime PM.

Each to their own.

But i suppose we'd better return to the topic, which is Trump.

I don't think she would have put up with any of his verbal attacks, nor shenanigans.
