I agree it's not Trumps motivation, but he willing to use it to better his own position.

True.  Politicians will use anything to gain power and $$$.

It's just that I"m not seeing religion as a motivation for this war for your average American.

We just don't think that way.

Example ... most 'catholics' I know haven't been to confession in 20 years and only go to 
Mass for Christmas, or weddings/funerals.   They still claim to be Catholic but it doesn't
permeate everything they do.

In the defnce of British southern africa too steeming the communist advance in the post colonial period through helping us with Rhodesia and south Arfrica taking the battle to the Cubans in Mozambiques and Angloa, SW africa, etc. In the Falklands giving info on Argie ship movements. Economically many times even giving preferential traetment to our steels / ally exports curtesy of Trump. Scientifically through developments in medicine and sciences. Defence of our nation through technology transfers Tridents and F-35s. Also they carry on our English traditions which without this big baby we'd be on a cutural decline. Believe me Id rather be on side with the Yanks than against them. Shame the leftie liberal Commie Starmer didn't realise this, yet because of incredible Ministry of Defeence corruption with procurement and allocation of resources, we couldn't put a boat to sea or even see this Special Operation coming. Crazy and our Cypriots neighbours now look to others for their defence agaist the Islamic world when our forces were proved to be non available for their defence.
