Trump says he bombed Iran

This is barely a dip. The market thinks right now that this could blow over. If we’re still in conflict two weeks down the road, people are going to see a real correction in the stock market.

The stock market and gas prices were pretty much the core tenets to the claim of a strong economy.

If he loses those two, that narrative is pretty much gone considering his admin has the record amount of federal debt of any president. He’s on his way to a third of the debt coming from his two terms. A prolonged war could mean half is in play.

CherokeeTroy posted info saying it's expected to last until September.

I think a 20% drop would be best case scenario if this goes through summer.

The market was arguably in bubble territory riding the AI highs, alas, creating real revenue from the trillions of dollars invested into the market has proven challenging.

If AI pops, energy costs remain high, that increases costs of goods for a world that was already tightening their wallets.

I’m supposed to believe they were on the cusp after not being able to do it for 28 years of Bibi telling me we had to attack Iran for them to save ourselves from mushroom clouds? But all of a sudden they are doing it in under a year while in financial ruins and political uprising?

To be honest, that wouldn't surprise me with all the billions our former administrations have sent to them. Plus they'll lop off your head if you aren't like them and while you may genuinely feel different about that, I'm all for "better to be safe than sorry" and wiping that regime out one bomb at a time. Fk those dudes, they'd do it to us if they had the opportunity.

We didn’t send them billions, we unfroze some of their money.

But alas, a vast majority of Americans didn’t want this war. You can look at this very thread which goes back to the first conflict in the summer. It was dead after that. Even people here who talk about how necessary it was weren’t asking for it leading up to now.

Go back to the summer and they said it prevented a war.

Now go to Electionbettingodds.com and take a look at what Polymarket and Kalshi are pricing for the midterms. Ask yourself if it was worth it. Ask yourself if adding to the already record debt is worth it. Those are rhetorical, because I know you’ll say yes. To protect us from the Middle Eastern boogie man that has consumed our foreign policy for half a century. Same thing over and over and over. Thousands of US service members gone. Far more committed suicide since, and trillions of dollars.

The same talking points were done with Iraq. Most Americans don’t believe all the middle eastern  fear porn anymore.

The only reason this is happening is it’s the last chance for Israel to drag us along. Once Trump and the largest generation are gone, America is don’t doing the bidding of Israel.

Iran's teetering the coalition as it is needs to just keep nudging in the right direction, but everybody is worried about gas prices.

Stabilize Iran and Yemen and the gas prices will stabilize permanently. Might as well give the good old college try
