Someone with "dementia" just secured the release of 20 Israeli hostages.

Yeah, I'll take Trump over anyone else!

FYI, Biden secured the release of about 100 hostages held by Hamas.

From The BBC
Quote:What happens next?

Ahead of the release of the hostages, Israeli troops withdrew to a line that has left them in control of 53% of Gaza - the first of three stages of Israeli withdrawal, according to the Trump plan.

A multinational force of around 200 troops overseen by the US military will monitor the ceasefire, according to a senior US official. It is believed the force includes troops from Egypt, Qatar, Turkey and the United Arab Emirates.

US officials have said no US forces will be on the ground in Gaza.

The 20-point plan, which you can read in full here, says that if it is agreed by both sides, the war would "immediately end".
It says Gaza will be demilitarised and all "military, terror and offensive infrastructure" will be destroyed.

It also says Gaza will be initially governed by a temporary transitional committee of Palestinian technocrats - supervised by a "Board of Peace" headed and chaired by Trump and involving former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair.

Governance of the Strip would eventually be handed over to the Palestinian Authority - which administers the West Bank - once it has undergone reforms.

Hamas - which has run the territory since 2007 - would play no future role in its governance, directly or indirectly, according to the plan.

Hamas members would be offered amnesty if they committed to peaceful co-existence, or would be provided safe passage to another country.

No Palestinians would be forced to leave Gaza and those who wished to leave would be free to return.

A "Trump economic development plan to rebuild and energise Gaza" would be created by a panel of experts.

So begins the free-for-all of slush and foreign investment/contractors.

Gaza will be like Sharm El Sheikh in a jif.  Way better than the Aleppo rebuild.

If you will, capitalism that doesn't launch rockets anymore, is no dream.

*Or*

"Either Gaza's brains of your signatures will be on this peace deal."

Let it never be said Trump cant pull Middle East peace out of his antichrist ass.

Biblical prophecy suggests the Antichrist will bring a temporary and deceptive peace to the Middle East before breaking a treaty.

So..

If he breaks the treaty he's the antichrist.

If they all build Dubai On The Mediterranean together he's not.

Antichrist? What are you talking about? Trump has always been a strong supporter of Israel. From back before the election:

Quote:Just as I promised, I recognize Israel’s eternal capital and opened the American embassy in Jerusalem. Jerusalem became the capital. I also recognized Israeli sovereignty over the Golan Heights.

You know, Miriam and Sheldon would come into the White House probably almost more than anybody outside of people that work there. And they were always after — and as soon as I’d give them something — always for Israel. As soon as I’d give them something, they’d want something else. I’d say, ‘Give me a couple of weeks, will you, please?’ But I gave them the Golan Heights, and they never even asked for it.

You know, for 72 years they’ve been trying to do the Golan Heights, right? And even Sheldon didn’t have the nerve. But I said, ‘You know what?’ I said to David Friedman, ‘Give me a quick lesson, like five minutes or less on the Golan Heights.’ And he did. And I said, ‘Let’s do it.’ We got it done in about 15 minutes, right?

Or today before the Knesset:

Quote:As president, I terminated the disastrous Iran nuclear deal, and ultimately, I terminated Iran’s nuclear program with things called B2 bombers. It was swift and it was accurate, and it was a military beauty. I authorized the spending of billions of dollars, which went to Israel’s defense, as you know. And after years of broken promises from many other American presidents — you know that they kept promising — I never understood it until I got there. There was a lot of pressure put on these presidents. It was put on me, too, but I didn’t yield to the pressure. But every president for decades said, ‘We’re going to do it.’ The difference is I kept my promise and officially recognized the capital of Israel and moved the American Embassy to Jerusalem.

Isn’t that right Miriam? Look at Miriam. She’s back there. Stand up. Miriam and Sheldon [Adelson] would come into the office and call me. They’d call me — I think they had more trips to the White House than anybody else, I guess. Look at her sitting there so innocently — got $60 billion in the bank, $60 billion. And she loves, and she, I think she said, ‘No, more.’ And she loves Israel, but she loves it. And they would come in. And her husband was a very aggressive man, but I loved him. It was a very aggressive, very supportive of me. And he’d call up, ‘Can I come over and see you? I’d say ‘Sheldon, I’m the president of the United States. It doesn’t work that way.’ He’d come in. But they were very responsible for so much, including getting me thinking about Golan Heights, which is probably one of the greatest things ever happened. Miriam, stand up, please. She really is, I mean, she loves this country. She loves this country. Her and her husband are so incredible. We miss him so dearly. But I actually asked her, I’m going to get her in trouble with this. But I actually asked her once, I said, ‘So Miriam, I know you love Israel. What do you love more? The United States or Israel?’ She refused to answer. That means — that might mean Israel, I must say, we love you. Thank you, darling, for being here. That’s a great honor. Great honor. She’s a wonderful woman. She is a great woman.

Well he's not going to rescind his support of Israel and go after them either...

They love him. He only helps them when other countries mind the floor of eggshells and broken glass.

They only get the one thing hes done right so far.

They dont have to deal with him demonizing the Reform movement for their LGBT clergy and their support of transideology.

He doesnt attack half their society for supporting left leaning things. Or protesting Netanyahu as a war criminal. They can even support Palestine while at war.

Is it because they deal with it more directly?

I'm kinda jealous their sovereignty only deals with the magnanimous altruistic avatar he wants to project to the world. Their ultra-orthodox are even less angry.

Yes I understand how government works.
Again someone who'd rather attack the poster than the story. Such a shame!!

Some people seem to except accept his ineptitude but his complete lack of understanding the simplest things at times make him look like a total child or someone suffering early onset dementia.

edit to add...

Thank you sooooooo much to Moon68 for pointing out my mistake.

That does seem to be what happens when he appears to loose the plot.

You really think Biden did that?
He was a vegetable.
Others did it for him.

You really have no clue what the antichrist is supposed to be.
There is ZERO chance Trump is the Antichrist.
The Antichrist is supposed to be adored around the world.
Yet most of the world hates him because of 'America First'.

They know what octane the clown-car runs on, and are more than happy to name things and wave signs. Don't confuse that with respect, like Trump does.

Although his fawning sycophancy, as evidenced in those quotes I gave, has two great advantages: first, amazingly, it's entirely honest, which is somewhat of a miracle in foreign policy, regardless of quality. Look how often he so amusingly says the quiet part aloud, with no downside. Second, like the Stay-Puft marshmallow man, his dense malleability is both defensive and formidable. He goes exactly where he wants to go, unlike, for example, Obama, without fear.

That's a bit hypocritical coming from a group who were going to re elect Biden even when he was showing clear signs of being mentally unfit for the job.

Trump is acting like Trump. He's been the same long winded asshole for decades.
