Trump is in talks with Russia to end the war

Now Dementia Don is sending arms and telling Ukraine they can only win if they attack Moscow, a few days later telling them they can't attack Moscow.

The guy can't hold onto a thought for more than a few seconds before something shiny distracts him.

He changed that "10 to 12 days" thing after he found out Putin and Zelenskyy are working for 2 to 3 weeks. It was widely publicized according to MSM. Sorry you are so "Trump Hate" inflicted. I predict the talks break off and fail, and Russia gets sanctioned into the ionosphere.
If Ukraine is a basket case ready to collapse, how come that they have just launched 500 drones at Crimea and southern Russia. The fact is that they haven't except in name only, at some stage Russia will have to take out the facilities in the NATO countries supplying the hardware, if it does not then they will be worn down and liable to get invaded. Reports coming in suggest that a petrol shortage is occurring in Russia due to the hammering of their fuel facilities. I think that reading between the lines things are on the verge of escalating further.

Sorry your "Trump love" has inflicted you. Must taste of old spray-on tan?!?!?

How about posting some evidence for a change to make your point rather than insults??
But If your claims are true, then Putin is only going to go if he knows he can get what he wants and he has Trumps backing. Trump is good at backing out though, so he could surprise Putin?
Quote:German Chancellor Friedrich Merz on Tuesday accused Moscow of a "delaying strategy" when it comes to reaching a peace agreement with Ukraine.
At a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney in Berlin, he said Russian President Vladimir Putin is intentionally holding up a meeting with Ukraine's Volodymyr Zelensky to end the war.
"Putin believes it is right to tie this meeting to preconditions that, from Ukraine's perspective, and also from ours [and] from my personal point of view, are completely unaccetable," said Merz.

Major forces against any "peace". When (and IF) it all fails, Russia gets sanctioned like never before. The U.S. already has weapons getting paid for instead of given away. Too many want to keep spending Billions to Kill Millions. Not good.  [Image: fart.gif]
Complex maneuverings are needed when so many countries are involved... I'd be pretty surprised if this isn't rejected in toto by Putin...

Quote:NEW: The United States is reportedly willing to supply supporting assets to a European-led force grouping as part of postwar security guarantees for Ukraine. The Kremlin has repeatedly rejected the presence of troops from NATO countries as part of any security guarantee for Ukraine in recent weeks.

The Financial Times (FT) reported on August 26 that official Ukrainian and European sources stated that senior US officials told European officials recently that the United Stated would be prepared to contribute "strategic enablers," such as intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR); command and control (C2); and air defense assets, to support a future European-led deployment on the ground in postwar Ukraine as part of security guarantees for Ukraine.

European officials reportedly stated that European states can only deploy troops to Ukraine with US support that enables, oversees, and protects the European ground troops.

FT reported that officials stated that US postwar support would include US aircraft, logistics, and ground-based radar that would support and enable a European-enforced no-fly zone and air shield for Ukraine.

The official sources commented that such US support is contingent on European states' commitment to deploy "tens of thousands" of troops to Ukraine.

Three of the officials reportedly stated that Ukrainian troops would defend behind a demilitarized zone that neutral peacekeeping troops would patrol.

NATO states would reportedly arm and train these Ukrainian forces. A European-led "deterrence force" would reportedly operate deeper in Ukraine as a "third line of defense,"

and US assets would operate further in the rear.

Other key takeaways:

The United States is reportedly willing to supply supporting assets to a European-led force grouping as part of postwar security guarantees for Ukraine. The Kremlin has repeatedly rejected the presence of troops from NATO countries as part of any security guarantee for Ukraine in recent weeks.

The United States will impose an additional 25 percent tariff on India’s exports to the United States due to India’s ongoing purchases of Russian oil.

Recent Ukrainian strikes on Russia’s oil refineries have contributed to gasoline shortages across Russia that will likely raise inflation and cause further macroeconomic instability in Russia.

The Russian government proposed that Russian President Vladimir Putin withdraw from the European Convention for the Prevention of Torture and Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment.

Russian residents in border areas are increasingly apathetic toward the war and accepting that Russia will not agree to an end to the war in the near future.

What exactly are you plans to fix the problem? Bidens didn't fix it. A person could argue his thirst for a proxy war has made it worse.

Russia Is Suspected to Be Behind Breach of Federal Court Filing System

It is weird. Every time there's talks with Russia about ending the war, Russia bombs further or advances troops, and the USA accuses Russia of some kind of sneaky infowarring. Every time. It is quite a coincidence.

Another instance of this odd one-two pattern. I swear, every time. Is something going on?
So this thread was started on 1 February.

Today is the 8th of September.

How's it going? Any change in the situation since February?
