Quote:European leaders to meet in London on March 2 to talk defense, says TuskThe London meeting comes ahead of a special summit on March 6 to discuss European security and Ukraine.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer is set to meet Trump on Thursday. He announced on Tuesday that the United Kingdom will increase defense spending to 2.5 percent of gross domestic product from 2027.

So far Turkiye is interested in putting 'peacekeeping'(?) boots on the ground in Ukraine.
UK getting prepared.
"The Swedish Government is presenting its largest military support package to Ukraine to date, valued at SEK 13.5 billion."
Most countries are increasing their defense spending and offering Ukraine impressive aid.
Quote:France and EU move to secure Ukraine minerals, as US pushes for dealFrance and the European Union are mobilising to secure access to Ukraine’s valuable mineral resources, despite pressure from Washington, which is pushing for mineral deals with Kyiv as a form of repayment for military aid.
Supply chain vulnerabilities have also been exposed in recent years, making it clear that Europe must secure alternative sources of critical resources – such as Ukraine.
A minerals deal with Kyiv could not only enhance Europe's industrial competitiveness, but also shield it from geopolitical disruptions and trade restrictions.

There seems to be another path to peace, without the U.S. government's involvement. Maybe they should partner up with Putin and mine Mother Russia, let's see how the Russian people feel about that.

Everybody agrees with that, and the free democratic world is making those changes. But as Zelensky says, the U.S. will be feeling the influence of these changes and that big ocean won't serve as a buffer.

Yeah ... democrats and left wing foreigners are whining that Trump is a bully because he kicked Zelenskyy out of the office. That's absurd.
Zelenskyy screwed the pooch. The agreement, which was done behind closed doors as is proper, was all set and then Zelenskyy got in front of the cameras and insulted the Vice President and tried to reinsert the demand that America send security (boots on the ground) to Ukraine.
Zelenskyy blew it up. Not Trump.
(and no ... I"m absolutely NOT MAGA nor am I a Trump fan. )

Zelensky wants NATO level security assurances and that's not gonna happen...

rumors are he was told by Susan Rice and Victoria Nuland to not agree, you know like violating the Logan Act
The needed security measures for Ukraine could happen and will most likely happen with the unified free democratic world players, excluding the U.S.

Obama didn't react in 2014 and didn't send money when Russia invaded Ukraine ... and the world was fine with that.
But now that it's Trump saying we aren't going to send anymore money and we aren't going to send troops ... the left wingers around the world have a melt down and go all TDS.
Hypocrisy. Retardation. Absurdity.
If left wing Europe and UK and Canada want to send money ... THEY can send money forever.
If left wing Europe and UK and Canada want to send troops ... THEY can send troops forever.
NOT US ANYMORE.

Fine.
YOU pay for an unending war.
YOU send your troops for an unending war.
We are done being used by you people.
The gravy train is over.
Russia is the bad guy.
But the Ukraine government is bad too.
Go ahead and jump in. Good luck with that.

Educate yourself.
Turkey ... run by nutbag Erdogen ... who wants to establish an Islamic Caliphate in the world with himself at the helm ... who hates any and all Jews and wants them all dead ... he wants to send Turkish troops and money into Ukraine. Gee ... that can only be good for everyone, right? Clown world.

the way this thread is going hot and heavy is making me more and more suspicious that trump told zelenski to blow it up. like financial markets that generate the most profit potential from oscillations, political footplay generates the most powerchange potential from conflict. just thinking to all those years trump spent scripting fake drama for the boardroom scenes of that reality show of his. he's no stranger to it. gets all the eurofret going to pony up, plus z really needs to seem unknuckled to avoid the rope back home. course it's prolly not trump scripting this stuff but some strat-ai. go figure.

Good, that's exactly what needs to happen. Even Joe knows...
It's a regional war tired of the left and RINOs pretending it's not.
