Trump is in talks with Russia to end the war

Not in a good way.

Call me hyperbolic, but Trump and Vance do it better.

It is reported that Zelensky specifically insisted on security measures one day before his meeting with Trump, why didn't Trump say 'no way' then? TrumpTV for the gullible watchers. By the way, Zelensky abruptly left the very white house after that shitshow.

Zelensky's words were taken as disrespectful and also threats.  Whether they were meant as such I cannot say.

What I can say is that if he doesn't get back with Trump and help sign a peace deal, USA will pull all funding, and the war hungry EU hawks will keep supplying weapons and bellicose rhetoric and things will only get worse.  Hopefully completely without us, at that point.

So what's Zelensky's/EU plan?

How does Ukraine survive without American weapons? or intelligence capabilities which have been crucial throughout the war.

They have only fought to a stalemate with said weapons and intelligence...

Hey, I agree with you on the stalemate state of it all.

But it appears Russia did not keep it's agreements in the past, so Zelensky asking for security assurances is a reasonable ask.

Time will tell as to how EU and other countries step up to secure their regions and help Ukraine's efforts in this war.

It has also been reported, or speculated, that Putin can only afford this war for another 18 months, so we will see how far this will go.

I hope it can be stopped now, but I said from the start that Ukraine needs security assurances and Russia wants to keep whatever land it can get. Putin also stated that he wants to 'free' all the countries surrounding Iran. So we can get an idea of the reality of the situation.

Russia and Ukraine have a long and bloody history and I hope it stops here.

In the end, it's the consultation prize but I'll take it, our ammunition and weapon stockpiles are dangerously low.

Russia is a regional power this is a regional war. All America can do is throw good money after bad into the money pit of Kyiv

Will the U.S. now be selling weapons to Russia? I mean some country needs to buy the war machine's goods to keep GDP up, right? Can Vlad afford it?

EU bought weapons from U.S. and donated them to Ukraine.

Right or wrong as Trump suggested Zelensky is in no position to insist from the US.

America has paid its fair share of billions, has shared intelligence, etc., and it gets nothing in return.

While we are hearing whisper deals throughout Europe, even Starmer admitted yesterday most of it was a gift but not all.

and again why didn't Putin invade when Trump was President, hell he had 4 years.

Whatever the reason he took Crimea with Obama and he invaded the rest with Biden.

"left out the crucial "fear-mongering"

No, that was the "gambling with WW3" fear mongering.
I now know why I am called a grown up. Every time I get up I groan.

Our GDP isn't solely based on the MIC, I'm hoping those incredibly rich azzhats are satisfied with the bounty that has been dropped on thier laps and go off and count thier billions.

Now it won't be Ukraine and Israel-type orders but we always have places where we can sell weapons too

WWIII isn't going to happen over Ukraine, if were it would have happened already.

Again Putin is maxed out in Ukraine, and pulled troops out of Africa is it so crazy to think he wants a way out? If not

Russia will pound it into the mud in the territories it can, and likely begin extracting the rare earth minerals where it can sooner or later. To recoup some of thier financial losses

Or Zelensky will sell mineral rights for weapons from Europe and still lose the lost territory

and Ukraine or Europe can't do a damn thing about it
