EU is pushing for the bullshit to continue, shouldn't the USA be better than that?
Oh come on. Don't play the naif. Of course it "should", but it isn't. Words aside, the USA acts more like an amnestic psychopath rather than a principled individual. The "peace talks" created news-cycle impressions for partisans to latch on to, and evoked reactions and pivots from other nation-players. Europe's energy infrastructure still has to be threatened a bit more (see the pipeline bombing?) to cajole them into entering the quagmire the USA has created, so they can "keep the peace" and hold Putin at bay while the economic pillaging moves to the next stage, a gentle disentanglement from the remains of the Ukrainian state.

I know that I know that both sides are corrupt and that they are all working towards the globalist nasty end goal, but I know that the innocent part of me wants the USA to not be involved in this mess regardless. Fantastic I know.

Who might be able to "give" all that?
I doubt that Ukrainians would be happy with that.

Never said, suggested, or inferred it was cash...
100 billion out of American taxpayers' pockets is 100 billion that could improve many Americans lot in life.
Instead, it's given to a country at war that has no plan for ending the war, just endless military aid and other financial aid

But, you are suggesting it's 100 billion out of American taxpayer's pockets, which it isn't?
No plan for ending the war? Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire.
Putin wants unacceptable conditions. He has no intention of ending his War.
He is playing Trump for the mug that he is.
