That's just the way it is.
Foreigners can have opinions for sure.
But citizens of those countries really don't care. IMHO.
And I mean that for everyone everywhere, not just Americans.

Well as you pointed out earlier that resorting to instantly calling someone a Nazi is pretty much waving a white flag, calling 'foreigner' to a retort is pretty much the same.
America in it's fight to bring democracy and capitalism to the free world became the world police, and leader of the free world. the US dropped a very big bomb to take that position. It happened and there's not much anyone can do about it without causing WW3.
Both sides feel they have a vest interest in the other, and what happens in one tends to trickle down to the other in some form.
