Trump 'authorizing Full Force, if necessary' as military deploys to another US city
(09-27-2025, 01:54 PM)FlyersFan Wrote: No.   I mean that if a discussion is going on about a particular country, and there are people from that country in the discussion, then their opinion is what matters TO THEM.  Others can have opinions, but they are rather irrelevant to the people of that country.

Take King Charles.   I think he's an entitled twit.   But I'm not going to go to a forum full of Englishmen and tell them that their King, who used to have fantasies about being a tampon inside his adultering mistress, is a twit.   My opinion TO THEM is irrelevant.   So I wouldn't bother.

Most Americans don't care what foreigners think about America.   The only time that an American will quote a foreigner is if that foreigner agrees with them.   If that foreigner disagrees, then the American will ignore the person or tell them to bugger off.   That's just the attitude.   And I'm sure that people in other countries feel the same way about Americans giving their opinion of their country.   I've seen it here ... just watch an American say that London is a mess ... certain English posters get their heckles up.    Lol

But on a supposedly multinational site, I don't see that in general?
But what I do see is a certain number of members get 'heated and angry' very quickly when there opinion is disagreed with, and instant personal attack rather than staying on the topic.

We're possibly seeing an over reach of government into only certain states because a more authoritarian 'Leader' doesn't agree with the elected leader of that state. Isn't that concerning for any western country when America has claimed for generations to be the leader of the 'Free' world?

Born and raised for 32 years in Portland. I left in 2011 and haven’t returned. I was thinking of taking my kids there this winter. My Mom just moved to Louisiana from there last year. She said ‘don’t go, it’s a shithole. All the places you loved are gone. Boarded up windows and graffiti everywhere.’

So I’m taking them somewhere else now. They need to clean house in that shithole.

I only use the Silver Bulletin -- cuz it incorporates all the other polls.

Yes, Nate Silver is Liberal -- but he's also a statistician.  I'll take the numbers.

Yeah .. and he said he was flattered and surprised by the attention.

The king never says anything, it's against protocol, but in the past the English government has had some negative things to say.

So I was surprised by the positive attention he received in England.

They must want something from him.   All politicians have agenda and motive.   No one would be nice to Trump unless they could get something out of it.    IMHO.

Its obvious the puppetry, and its always the same few groups of users coming in at the same time on both sides but I cant find the gain in the back and forth at all so I mainly stay out of it. Its funny though lol entertainment is great I love watching DI its my favorite channel

There are two different partisan sides telling everyone how they feel. Are you only paying attention to one side?

ANNEE is coming up with the poll of all polls, so stay tuned.

The squeaky wheel gets the grease.
This isn’t hard or political.
The Guard has been deployed to red and blue areas due to where the biggest problems are occurring.
If the Guard is being deployed to say Martha’s Vineyard, then you might have cause to knot up them panties.

Portland has a giant problem with antifa and left wing violence and it’s not disputable.

People keep going back to the 'America leads the world' thing.
But that doesn't change the fact that Americans don't care what foreigners think of America.
Much as people in England don't care what foreigners think of England.
That's just the way it is.
Foreigners can have opinions for sure.
But citizens of those countries really don't care.   IMHO.
And I mean that for everyone everywhere, not just Americans.
That's been my experience.

You seem to share Trump's lack of grasp of percentages.

And a lack of grasp about the different penalties applicable in said countries.

Then there is the ongoing Trump vendetta against his political opponents.

Which we don't have.

Everyone is noticing both sides opinions here.
Evidence of that is people responding to you.
Your arguments are poor so far, so they get discarded rather quickly.
If you’d like to be more relevant then get better arguments.
So far it just looks like you’re siding with a certain segment of the population here who owns poor factual arguments and even bigger “feels” arguments.

I don't see that in general either. Many Americans here are welcoming and fair minded, while some others?, well you see how it is.
