I've had cataract surgery, so the vision is fine, funny thing about cataract surgery, we have to go through metal detectors now (Legacy Hospital, Portland) because someone came in and shot up the place a while back.

There are pockets of safety.  Many apartment complexes now have grocery stores right there, and other shops, so no one has to travel now.

He went as a tourist, visited many places and loved the city and the state.

Just not seeing on the DHS website why they'd go into Portland.
I know it's a stinking mess now.
But it wasn't listed in the DHS site as something out of control.

No ICE in Portland would mean illegals get free reign.  
So perhaps Trump was triggered to have to do something because of that.

I looked and couldn't find information anywhere, including at the DHS site that I linked to, that said there were attacks.  The last one listed was back in June.   If you have info then please post it because I'm not finding it.   If it's being attacked on a regular basis then yes, that means the locals can't handle the problem and that troops are needed to protect the facility and the people.

Just saw this pop up on the feeds?!?!

Is this another attempt at eroding civil liberties and step closer to an authoritarian regime, or a needed helping hand for ICE?   

The Portland City Mayor hasn't asked for this assistance, so is this uncalled for federal interference within a democratically governed city, and Trumps attempts at taking a more aggressive stance at controlling Democrat run cities?  
What ever you political leaning, shouldn't the President respect the voted for leaders of a city or state?

The people who riot are the ones inciting riots just like guns dont kill people and people do. America has quickened its regression to the "Wild West" and has been doing so for some time already.

There is no discipline in the majority of its populace which isnt a surprise because the family unit is destroyed and the educational system has lost its power to discipline children as well so at what point does a population learn it when their parents are too busy to teach it because they made it impossible for a single family household to not survive without 24/7 ensured slave labor and anytime the educational system has tried disciplining parents screamed abuse so now they gave up too. Now there's consequences.

The simple answer would be stay the hell out of ICE's way and there wont be any military problems but people are too uneducated or undisciplined or both to do either. Our government and military is not going to lower THEIR discipline to fit its peoples lack of because they feel their feelings on issues are more important than the law of the land. If people can't see all sides of all I just said this will continue indefinitely until a massive amount can wake the hell up and see it and then find solutions like *stop being overly emotional and learn some self control*.

Also social media has turned the majority of children into narcissists. You know who else exhibits narcissistic behavior? Schizophrenics. Its not a good trait to have.

To sum up: I hope the military develops a presence in every large city in America. Every single one. Law and order needs to be restored in every corner and I dont care what anyone thinks about it because no one will like what comes next and it will slowly trickle the entire globe unless ended now.

He said Portland was a great place, and would go back any time, I don't know the political leanings of his friends but that seems irrelevant. He stayed with them, thought they were very inviting, warm and great people.
