I don't see how these tariffs are "Reciprocal".

They seem to not be based on any actual tariffs imposed on US goods but rather on individual countries balance of trade.

Looks like the markets are giving it the finger.

There seems to be the real prospect of a global recession.

White House fires National Security Agency chief

 
The Trump administration has fired the head of both the National Security Agency and US Cyber Command, the BBC's US partner CBS has reported.
 
The removal of General Timothy Haugh comes amid what appears to be a wider purge of top security officials at the agency and at the White House.
 
Democrats have said they are "deeply disturbed" by the move and say it jeopardises national security.
It is not clear why Gen Haugh was removed, but it comes after a meeting between President Donald Trump and far-right activist Laura Loomer on Wednesday.
 
Ms Loomer reportedly urged Trump to fire specific employees whom she suspected lacked support for his agenda.
 
She posted on X that Gen Haugh and his deputy Wendy Noble, who US media reported was also let go, "have been disloyal to President Trump. That is why they have been fired."
 
Before their firings were reported, Trump told reporters he would get rid of any staff deemed to be disloyal.

Yeah it took awhile to update. I am down the same amount as covids. Like went from a positive rate of return to -3%. It will pop up again!

Thing about all this economic stuff is, it was broken for decades, and only now that they try to fix it is all the debt and fake money , hypothecation and derivative nonsense coming to light. It has to bleed out the pus and infection before it can get sewn up. All the past presidents just kicked the can down the road, now of course Trump gets the squawking for at least having the appearance of trying to fix things.

I told my friend that the plan even if it works, will not be seeing fruit until we are old, or maybe dead.  Of course, maybe not at all, but that's another conversation about the government mafia being all corrupt no matter who. . .

1 The theory is that they are rooting out the corruption and balancing the budget eventually.  That is the dreamers point of view. 
2 The practise I cannot really say, I am not up that high.
3 The result I cannot really say either.  But I predict big crash, Depression kinda thing. Even if point 1 is true you have to have point 3 either way . 
Unless proverbial can gets kicked again.
