Maybe they were hoping people would be taking pot shots at them... although for the most part, that didn't happen.
Maybe they're measuring the 'info sphere' footprint such activity fuels.
Maybe they're refining drone tracking algorithms.
Maybe they're conducting 'games' to evaluate operational capabilities.
Maybe they're 'coordinating' viable postures and protocols for future "swarm" drone threats.
Maybe they're developing new drone techs for 'urban' application.
Maybe surveillance, surveillance, surveillance.

Of course, in none of these can I imagine any "secret" reason to generate the drama and angst of mass reports focusing on drones... especially when juxtaposed with the DOD "disclosure" drama.  It's like they want the public off-balance.

This is all too flatly "Hollywood/Madison Avenue," if you will.

I think real ufo info is coming out, and they enjoy the waters being as muddy as possible.

I am constantly monitoring this news and posting it here on DI and , for my part, I am even more confused as to what is going on now than a year ago.

ufology has always been 90 plus percent bs and you have to filter the good from the bad. 

I think Trump is going to actually disclose more as it helps his deep state narrative. This thread is not about politics so best to avoid that.  We have people with both D and R pushing for disclosure now and should celebrate that. Schumer and AOC…, Burchett and Luna, both sides.

The POTUS can declassify anything that is only Confidential/Secret/Top Secret on his own authority.  Anything that has SCI or RD in it has to be reviewed by the DNI or DOE, by law.  The fact that this has to be reviewed for 60 days is actually an indication that there is some pretty important information involved.

I am thinking that 'review' means the same thing as 'vetting', which will leave us at the same point, that being non-disclosure.
