So this is plaster not stone? When the cartouche is overlaid you can see the resulting image as in the photo, but you would expect the layer of the new to stand proud of the old. It doesn’t look like that from the photos. On the other hand if it was carved into the older cartouche the image would be how it now appears, but that would be silly. If you are going to have your signature over an older one you should erase the older one first.
Anyway whatever, it’s funny how it ended up looking like a helicopter and two UFO’s.

Every carving is not made the same way. The "helicopter" is "carved" into plaster. If you need to see it, here it is. You can see where the original plaster has fallen off the stone of the lintel here: ![]() Further down the lintel to the right, you can see more jumbled glyphs that no one ever talks about because they don't mix to make a "helicopter." ![]() Harte

Seti I
Nebty name: Wehemmesut Sekhemkhepesh Derpedjetpesdjet "He who renews the births, strong with a sword, who subjugates the nine bows." Ramesses II Nebty name: Mekkemet Wafkhasut "Protector of Egypt, who curbs foreign lands."

Hans has clearly mistranslated Seti's name.

I know that quartz is widely used in electronics due to its piezoelectric properties. Meaning it can generate charge when mechanically stressed and/or vibrate when subjected to voltage. You learn that in 1st year of physics. As to watches, i don't wear those, tacky or expensive, sorry. You're not very good at this profiling sh@t. ;) But do tell me about quartz in relation to ancient Egyptian technology?
