I see even more than 'virtue salad' in there, especially that they came to recommend 'national' solutions to problem only measured in only part of the country... sigh.

First of all, no way did you read all of the PDFs, nor was I aware of your vulnerability to words, conjunctions, sentences, paragraphs, and the occasional dangling participle

 I said it would offer some perspective, not suggesting these PDFs a complete primer 

on the numbers, the 8.7 billion is what is discretionary and the states can use however; there are other funds the states can't mess with that no matter what.

I agree we shouldn't have any religious government.  I am merely stating that we are a prominently white and Christian culture, that informs our principles, and we speak English.
All immigrants until lately had no problem assimilating to the mother culture and making themselves useful.

It's why I am glad to live in America, there is still a striving at a national identity, based on European and yes, white Christian culture.  You don't have to be Christian or white to benefit from it, but you should  try your best to be a productive part of it!  It espouses hard work and self sufficiency, like the Pilgrims, not grifting off of welfare tax money and not fraud .

Just my opinion... but I wish people wouldn't substitute their thoughts for a meme  - most of all when it's used more than once.

Sometimes a meme conveys one's thoughts perfectly.

Sometimes people take a message board more seriously than others. Its not like Im repeatedly posting One Trick Pony in a corporate setting.

MINNESOTA CONGRESSMAN WARNED ABOUT SOMALI DAYCARE FRAUD... ALMOST A DECADE AGO

The $9+ billion fraud everyone is talking about today?

They knew about it years ago.

Former Minnesota Rep. Jason Lewis was blowing the whistle on Somali daycare fraud in his home state when the problem was still in the hundreds of millions, not billions.

His warning on the record:

"In my home state of Minnesota, where we've got a number of daycare providers that are openly violating federal and state laws and regulations, taking money for personal use, using the money to set up a fraudulent childcare client, and then providing a kickback has been reported.

You've got 23 childcare or daycare centers either closed or under investigation.

The fraud may go as high as $100 million.

Think about that. In fiscal year 2018, Minnesota received $120 million in federal funding.

The state contributed about $50 million in matching and maintenance funds.

And we may have a fraud case of nearly $100 million in this state.

With money then being transferred out of the country via MSP Airport."

Lewis asked federal officials what they were doing to investigate and whether stricter enforcement could be implemented to monitor states receiving these funds.

That was nearly a decade ago.

The fraud was $100 million then.

23 centers under investigation.

Nobody listened. Nobody acted.

Now it's $9 billion, 98 people charged, and federal agents raiding businesses across the state.

The warnings were there. The receipts existed.

They let it happen anyway.
