I think you might find the UK police acted after a complaint about the social-media posts being potentially threatening.

And not just because posting a foreign gun photo is automatically illegal.

The stalking allegation was made to police after he returned from Florida.

Which allegedly involved a photo of a house on his social-media profile that someone claimed caused "serious alarm or distress."

So that, combined with the gun photos, triggered his arrest.

All the charges have been dropped and his claims about "free speech not existing in the UK "are absolute nonsense.

He proves exactly that with the video he posted.

It might be best if he simply went to a solicitor regarding wrongful arrest charges.

But that's about it im afraid.

I apologize for commenting solely upon the presented focus in the title about the weapon firing.

Clearly - Some Americans are fixated on any nation so 'anti-gun' fixated themselves.

Form one perspective;  The use of the "gun firing" matter was an unnecessary prosecutorial inflammation of the actual pertinent public safety-related offenses he is alleged to have committed.   In pointlessly complicated the case...he's offered up a point of 'resistance' which will only prolong and distract from this charge of a dangerous public hazard.

This footage would have been better used to persuade within the course of a complaint... not as a tag-line to make everyone "feel virtuously affirmed" in their hatred of guns.  It's a way to influence an audience... shouldn't they save that for the trial?

It's just a societal "stink" that seems perennially associated with a decades-long public anti-gun effort.. layered on top of a real problem.... and I can't imagine how that serves justice....

I hate how prosecutors and defendants "use" sentiment and marketing tactics... as if "justice" were a Public-perception game... It's not supposed to be, is it?

The snag here is that the people who complained likely perceived the photos as threatening.

Once you add a complaint about possible stalking or intimidation.

Polices hands are tied, they have to investigate.

Simply down to "duty of care".

I tend to agree that the framing around the gun footage became a distraction.

The thing is, the stalking complaint is from the person that owes his company money and his associate is the in the photo delivering another demand for payment.

I wouldn't be surprised if that deadbeat is the same person that complained about the gun photo in the first place in an attempt to get his debtor in trouble, hoping he won't have to pay what he owes.

From what I can make out from multiple sources is that it was a government contract and the complainant was the person responsible for paying the contractors and had been months late paying, ignoring calls and avoiding collection attempts.

For all we know Police could have been manipulated, after all that's where the "duty of care" code comes into play.

But i imagine there is additional history and bad blood between both parties, we are not exactly privy to.

He may very well have grounds for wrongful arrest.

The likes of Carpy2 might know more about that if he happens to see the thread.

But he's bumping his gums and talking nonsense about there not being any free speech in the UK.

And again, the fact that he's made and posted the video clearly indicates he's talking out his behind.

It looks like he wishes to play coming to America, im not sure how ICE will feel about that.

But as long as this new alleged family is up for sponsorship and adoption, he looks a bit old to me, but who cares.

I think you should take him.

Looks like salt of the earth material.  Saint2

As long as he immigrates legally, he's welcome.

Just like anybody else is that follows the law.

It certainly looks like he wants to go.

After all, when we strip away all the nonsense claims and hyperbole.

That's what the story is really about.
Quote:"I lost my parents in 2023 in a car crash," he said. "In one awful day, my entire family was gone. My adoptive American family has been very welcoming, and it’s made me think more seriously about America…. You’ve got the First Amendment, the Second Amendment, it’s the land of opportunity, and I don’t feel safe in the UK anymore."
"If I moved to America and if that's God's plan for me, I would welcome that," he added.

Sounds like God's plan to me.  Saint2

No offence (with a "c" even!), but we have NOTHING in common with British anything anymore. We already proved that 259 years ago. We are only allies through foreign entanglements, nothing more.

I read recently that the native British population is down to a staggering 38%. That might just be London, but still. Anyone who's British would probably be aware that once you take the capital, you've pretty much secured the win.

We need to stand apart from them until they turn a corner. Presently, its like being allies with the Khmer Rouge.

Nice try, but your argument needs a bit of fact-checking.

For England and Wales, about 75% of people still identify as "White British".

And about 78% of Scotland's population identify as "White Scottish".

So, unless you assume every Brit lives in London(spoiler they don't) the "we've proven 259 years ago that we have nothing in common" line is a bit of a stretch.

And even if the "native" share is smaller in London, that doesn't magically turn the rest of the nation into a different planet.

It just means Brits come in many flavours now, same as your own nation.

And saying "once you take the capital, you've secured the win" sounds more like a board game shouting match than serious strategy imho.  Saint2
