I actually thought about it strangely as I was typing it and decided my perspective on what I wrote mattered as equally as yours and meant man as slang for friend and I thought it was obvious that I wasnt calling you male because of the context I used. I blame Occupy Wall Street. The was such a potential threat to the moneyed class that they create two new social movements to protect their burgeoning plutocracy: an intolerant left-oriented race and sex-based DEI extremism, born out of the embers of successful radical feminism, driven through educational institutions that depend on rich donor money, and an intolerant right-oriented race and sex-based nationalistic ultra-american extremism, born out of the embers of the successful libertarian Ron Paul resurgence, driven through faith and political think-tanks that depend on rich donor money, and pitted them against each other, successfully turning a potential class war into an unending battle of left-vs-right, red-vs-blue, entirely occupying and containing any potential threat to their power. For all the outrageous blame casting and summoning of shibboleths, the finger of accusation now never ever points up, in any actionable way.

Raise your kids to be nice and kind, but the division machine will get them. How can we address that problem? Antifa is only the tip of the iceberg, on one particular side of the ocean, too.

I think Trumps idea of looking for the funding is important, but not the entire picture. The national security apparatus has sophisticated techniques for analyzing terrorist networks, that are now being brought to bear on the potential influence of covertly organized and funded anti-Americanism. These use mass data analysis to find money and communications patterns that are associated violent events, without regard even to underlying content. Thus, even coded and "cell"-type isolation like Antifa uses can be found. It sounds Orwellian, but two thing: is there a choice? And, aren't they doing that anyway? Let's be realistic.

Teaching your children to think for themselves sounds like a great start. Them being nice or kind is usually a side effect of not treating them like shit and not the parenting im suggesting. Communicate with them. Be truthful. If their perception is strong they will get any concept you convey. Let them come to the conclusions on their own. Ask them questions that challenge them. Be there for them. The division machine is a subtle war of attrition on the psychological mind. Being present will defeat that easily. Set goals for them. Develop a strong mental health in them. Teach them to communicate effectively. Lead by example. I could probably keep going but im going to stop there I think thats enough.

As for Trump, his solution is a band aid in a gaping wound. To be fair though, what else can he do? All politicians are damned if they do and damned if they dont. People *all of us* should focus on what we can change and I think our surroundings and anyone we communicate with is a good start. Especially our children.

Hey, why when I search for this exact article title, which is sourced from the Washington Examiner, does the original article appear nowhere in the search results? I have to go to the Examiner website directly and search for it there. Here it is!
