Plane collides with Blackhawk helicopter Washington DC

As far as this tragic accident goes, it reminds me of the one that crashed here in the 70s. The PSA 727 and the Cessna. Where a misidentification of the aircraft by one of the PSA pilots lead to the jet rear-ending the Cessna. Only in reverse, with the helicopter misindentifying another plane as the CRJ?

As far as a DEI hire, I doubt it. The tower was understaffed and the helicopter was probably camouflaged. It sounds like a few more staff might possibly have prevented the tragedy.

If anything, Trump himself is a bit too old, and intellectually challenged, especially in the demands of the role he finds himself in. A DEI hire, anyone?... But of course, if he's actually really a sock puppet, a front-man under the complete control of a new 'alternate' deep state?...

And, here's the thing that people seem to be missing - the blackhawk was supposedly conducting a "continuity of government" exercise. Which government would that be? Who might have ordered such an exercise, preparing to surreptitiously run into hiding from the White house? Who might ultimately be responsible for the circumstances that led to the crash?

CNN has a new video of the crash in the first minute of the report. The rest of the video covers various aspects, including a near helicopter/plane incident just the day prior, forcing the plane to abort its landing. Worth watching the whole 10 mins., as there's more updated info.

Well, poor Jo Ellis. I'm sure she is a fantastic aviator and Warrant Officer. Shame they dragged her through the mud to assign blame for the accident on liberal policy. Head is always in the right place.

Some people are obsessed or just repressed eternal haters running on an endless wheel of preoccupation. But luckily for all those most bigoted, Trump just made sure this career military aviator in false question gets her dreams taken away over a regimine of Estradiol. 'Merica

I really doubt there is a transgender grandmother clause.

They run these flights fairly often. The last thing you want is to have someone flying a flight in an unfamiliar area with a VIP on board. This was an annual certification flight for a CoG mission at night. They have to be recertified every year.

Someone did a video showing what the helicopter crew most likely saw, through NVGs, and there's about two seconds right before impact where you could make out the PSA flight. The PSA flight was turning, so that would have blocked early view of the Blackhawk, and once they rolled out they would have been looking at the runway, ensuring they were lined up, and on glideslope.

The family of the second pilot requested the Pentagon delay releasing their name. Pilot Chief Warrant Officer 2 Andrew Loyd Eaves has yet to be recovered, and he is officially listed as DUSTWUN. Crew Chief Staff Sgt Ryan Austin O'Hara was recovered, but is pending positive identification. The third crew member hasn't been identified at the request of the family, but is also listed as DUSTWUN.

CWO2 Eaves was in the Navy from 2007-2017 when he transferred to the Army, and became a UH-60 pilot. He received multiple commendations and awards during his career.

Staff Sgt O'Hara served as UH-60 repair from 2014. He deployed to Afghanistan in 2017, and also received multiple commendations and awards.
