There were crew up in the rigging. Some videos show them falling. Just to warn before watching.
I know too much and question everything.
Does anyone know the minimum safe distance of ignorance?
Did anyone ask the monkeys how much fun the barrel actually was?

I hope the folks that fell are able to recover.

Luckly for the ship itself modern machines will have that ship ready to go for next year. This 250 anniversary event sounds like its going to be wild.

I love tall ships.  I hope they'll all be okay.

I wonder why it wasn't being towed, though.

Oh this is sad, hope the best for them.

Is the tug boat pulling/pushing them?

one angle from the shore looks like the ship is being pushed backwards by the tug.

hope those on critical condition make it!

The tide was going in. They are saying it had mechanical problems with its diesel engines.

That doesn't explain why the tug was leaving a wake but the sail ship was not. Could have been that it was going backwords.

I think they might have lost the tellagtaph to the engine room. The engine crew was most likely following the last orders which could have been back slow.

They still should have dropped anchors.
