My rudimentary understanding of the math's and how these things work is that we should be able to trace the source of the signal

Was hoping someone could explain at least a bit of this!! Most "predictions" are ahem...
"not as advertised" but yesterday was REALLY a slow day on the interwebs, plus had at least a dollop of science which is more than most have.

No I don't take this seriously, I've mocked more predictions over the years than most of you have eaten potato crisps/chips. 

Just glad the quake wasn't more serious.
