Even large near-Earth objects, like Apophis, exert a negligible gravitational pull compared to Earth's forces.
I did ask AI and it said about the same, The moon can pull the tides it's bigger and closer for sure, but gravity's influence theoretically extends infinitely just wasn't sure about how much and how far. I agree it's not the culprit.
