Missing UFO Gun Camera Footage?

I would love to see that too mate but looks to me like (now in the US) they're trying to 'reset' the subject and sweep all the historical cases under the rug.

Rebranding and narrative control seems to be the name of the game but sincerely hope I'm wrong.

As for potential gun camera did come across this pretty fascinating case from Uruguay in 1986 where two Pucara jets were scrambled to intercept a very strange UFO over a dam.

Initially the object flew off at a 'dizzying rate of speed' as the aircraft approached but when the pilots returned to base the object reappeared in the same place lol.

The aircraft yet again attempted (and failed) to intercept the object and Colonel Ariel Sanchez (head of the Uruguayan Air Force UFO Office) gives a pretty detailed interview at the link below.

Apparently the UFO changed colours from yellow to orange to red as it increased its acceleration (definitely not the first time that's been reported) and there was a power blackout of Montevideo at the same time due to the overheating of a power line which was directly underneath the spot where the UFO was witnessed.

Quote:Unsolved cases have a considerable high strangeness quotient for the FAU. For example, the 1986 pursuit by two Pucara jet fighters over the Palmar Dam in response to the maneuvers of a luminous sphere. The pilots joined together and decided to chase it. When they were about to intercept it, the sphere flew off at a dizzying rate of speed toward Argentina and could not be reached. When the pilots returned to their base, the sphere reappeared over the dam. But the same thing occurred - the chase occurred and it vanished from sight, changing colors from red to yellow.

INTERVIEW

Wonder what happened to the camera footage in this case?

If these two fighters were being sent up to intercept an unknown object then I can't see how they wouldn't have cameras on board.

Cheers.

One of my favorite vids was a tracking camera at a test site (Edwards maybe) that captured and tracked a cannister-shaped UFO for quite a bit of time.  The object was spiraling around and above the site.   The footage was very clear of the object.   I'll try to find a linky.  This happened in the earlier 2000s if memory serves correct (I'm getting old so that's a question in and of itself, lol)

edit:  I was kind of on the right track.  I think I was referring to the Nellis footage from '94

Appreciate the post mate, think that object was picked up on ground surveillance camera (not aircraft) but always found it intriguing - have heard 'debunks' ranging from balloons, fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, paragliders, radar reflectors and rotor kites (right through to 'insects') but never anything definitive - remember TheGut doing a really interesting ATS thread on it but unfortunately that's gone now.

Staying with Nellis AFB the place also gets a mention in this pilot gun camera film case from March 3rd, 1953 - if nothing else it shows that authorities were prioritising their military aircraft footage and ATIC was using the Photo Reconnaissance Laboratory for active examination.

Cheers.

Another 1965 intercept aircraft UFO case here (with compelling testimony from Edwards AFB ATC) with no on board camera footage released.

Also a USAF 'spy' plane UFO case here with no on board camera footage released.

Brazil have just released lots of UFO files and there's a pretty crazy series of UFO events (and scrambled jet interceptors) described from 1986 - all with no on board camera footage released.

• Events of 19th/20th May, 1986.

• Brazilian news - Military Officials (Portuguese to English subtitles).

Just curious if you guys consider the Nazi UfO mythology?

No mate, would personally say the Haunebu myth is complete bollocks and if you want to start a separate thread I can provide some reading links if you like.

Would like to (try to) keep this thread solely about missing military aircraft UFO camera footage and did come across this possibly relevant quote from Dr Jacques Vallee.

Quote:• "Governments took notice, organizing task forces, encouraging secret briefings and study groups, funding classified research and all the time denying before the public that any of the phenomena might be real. The major revelation of these Diaries may be the demonstration of how the scientific community was misled by the government, how the best data were kept hidden, and how the public record was shamelessly manipulated."

Dr. Jacques Vallee, astrophysicist, computer scientist 1992

There's yet another real world example intercept case below from Peru in 1980 taken from the pilot UFO statement thread - once again no on board camera footage released (any ideas as to why that might be?).

Quote:• "I decided to climb at full thrust to get above the object, but it began to ascend almost parallel to my plane, and when I reached 63,000 ft., it stopped. At this point, I came to within about 300 feet of the UFO. It was about 30 feet in diameter. It was an enameled, cream-colored dome, with a wide, circular, metallic base. It had no engines, no exhausts, no windows, no wings or antennae. It lacked all the typical aircraft components, with no visible propulsion system. It was at that moment that I realized this it was not a spying device, but that it was a UFO, something totally unknown."

Peruvian Air Force Sukhoi S-22 Jet Pilot Commander Oscar Santa Maria Huertas describes UFO encounter over La Joya Military Base, Arequipa, Peru, April 11th, 1980.

Not only that, but when UFOs are reported, the military never show up to shoot them down. What's that all about? Well, maybe they have orders not to shoot. Then let's ask ourselves why?

Sorry Karl, I seem to pop up with random questions. I never wish to divert a thread. I just have a thought and think I'll ask someone who knows more than me. I'll be more attentive to the topic at hand from now on.

Thanks for replying.

I've had a similar thought regarding armed encounters. Particularly in cases like Rendlesham when unarmed personnel are sent to investigate.

ETA...just realised I had already mentioned that lol. I'm an idiot.

Well mate granted there are not many but some examples are already posted on this thread where interceptors did open fire on unknown objects - one springs to mind where the weapons systems immediately went offline and another where the explosive shells were 'absorbed' by the object.

The newspaper clipping in the first post also states USAF Jet pilots were operating under a nation wide 24 hour 'alert' to chase down UFOs and 'shoot them down' if they ignored orders to land.

JETS TOLD TO SHOOT DOWN FLYING DISCS

Lots of links deleted over Frank Feschino's relevant book 'Shoot Them Down' but there's still one active here and the contents are well worth a read (quotes from Captain Ruppelt, Major Keyhoe, General Chidlaw etc.)

Cheers.
