LOL.

Just take your humiliating loss...and move along to your next ridiculously wrong statement of 'fact'.

Face it...GROK ate your lunch.

I would tend to agree that "more freedom(s)" is by far more desirable.

However, as with "power", with freedom comes, or should come, responsibility.

You are free to do, or say, whatever you wish...but you are also responsible for dealing with the consequences of your actions  should those actions harm, or impinge upon the freedom of another.

The problem here, of course, is that when "freedom" is imparted upon an individual who is not sound of mind, or intent, Responsibility is impossible to effectively enforce in such a way as to prevent tragedy.

In my opinion, the best solution to gun violence is not with gun bans, but easier access and more people owning guns.

Well, definitely it would kill off those who draw a weapon.

"Shooter!" Bang, bang, thud, bang, thud, bang, bang, bang, thud, thud, bang, thud, bang, ricochet, bang, bang, bang bang, thud. "Hold your fire!", bang, bang, "hold your fire, dammit"... Smoke clears.

I think that is referred to as "The Fog of War".  It scales up or down as the circumstances warrant.

We don't punish infringements of rights any longer in the US.

No bail laws, lax DA's, etc.

We need to punish people who infringe on rights.
You must develop the ability to be disliked in order to free yourself from the prison of other people's opinions.

Christianity began about 2,000 years ago in the Jerusalem. Mormonism began 195 years ago in New York.

What??   The LDS are the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.   They have rituals and beliefs that are outside of the Holy Bible, outlined in the Book of Mormon, but you struck out with this one, slugger.

At least ANNEE quoted a somewhat credible source.

Perhaps if you asked someone who definitely was Christian, in the very traditional definition, you would get a different answer than secular responses. Several of the doctrines of the LDS are heretical, by Christian standard. Definitely, Christians very early in their history tried to closely define what was, and what wasn't Christianity and the result was the Nicene creed, which the LDS does not agree to.

If you called yourself a house brick, would that make you one?

There are several Mormon doctrines that are considered heretical in Christianity and also in Judaism that preceded it.

The LDS have redefined what they think "Christianity" is. This is how they call themselves Christian. They don't believe in Jesus the Christ revealed in the Bible.

Ask yourself, if LDS agree to the Nicene Creed:

We believe in one God, the Father Almighty, the maker of heaven and earth, of things visible and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the begotten of God the Father, the Only-begotten, that is of the substance of the Father.

God of God, Light of Light, true God of true God, begotten and not made; of the very same nature of the Father; by Whom all things came into being, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible.

Who for us humanity and for our salvation came down from heaven, was incarnate, became human, was born perfectly of the holy virgin Mary by the Holy Spirit.

By whom He took body, soul, and mind, and everything that is in man, truly and not in semblance.

He suffered, was crucified, was buried, rose again on the third day, ascended into heaven with the same body, [and] sat at the right hand of the Father.

He is to come with the same body and with the glory of the Father, to judge the living and the dead; of His kingdom there is no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the uncreate and the perfect; Who spoke through the Law, the prophets, and the Gospels; Who came down upon the Jordan, preached through the apostles, and lived in the saints.

We believe also in only One, Universal, Apostolic, and [Holy] Church; in one baptism with repentance for the remission and forgiveness of sins; and in the resurrection of the dead, in the everlasting judgement of souls and bodies, in the Kingdom of Heaven and in the everlasting life.

Is it really beyond the norm? seems kinda like business as usual. It's crazy I know. I wonder if it has anything to do with the Kirk assassination, I believe the shooter grew up Mormon. [Image: think.gif]
