A suspect has been charged after a gunman opened fire from a boat into a waterfront restaurant in North Carolina, killing three people and wounding at least five others on Saturday night.
Nigel Max Edge, 40, was charged with three counts of first-degree murder and five counts of attempted first-degree murder in connection with the shooting at the American Fish Company restaurant in Southport, North Carolina, the city’s public information officer, ChyAnn Ketchum, confirmed to Fox News on Sunday morning.
Southport Police Chief Todd Coring told reporters at a press conference later Sunday morning that the suspect acted alone in a "highly premeditated" fashion.

[Is it terrible? That the first idea to haunt me, after the shock of this kind of violence... is to be completely convinced that the media will tell you how to think about this. I became angrier about that thought than the reality of the devastation of sudden pointless death.]

Activist will outright TELL you what matters about this - immediately surrounded by productions about the topic of their obsession.

The media will exploit  this by monetizing your interest.  So... here come's the flood of instantaneous AI content in main-stream media.

This is why I hate the modern 'activism movements.'

Someone thought this was so intensely necessary that they've killed people indiscriminately.
As if that were a "lesson" they have claimed the privilege of teaching.

"Modern" 'righteous' activism.

I'm starting to doubt the ever soft attempt to "understand" the pressures and influences which lead to the upcoming (and by then) media spectacular... endlessly looping from one tragedy to the next... one talking head, to the next... they should be instantly discounted for their disrespectful diatribes.. which always include an activist message. 

Maybe even enough to say... this is not the result of depression, not 'courage' or 'an aching voice, crying out to be heard.'

This is modern activism's true fruit.

Mr. Adams never meant this when he spoke "Agitate! Agitate!"

... most people respect that to presume civility and the proper use of free speech...
... not, "go on... kill those people... that will teach them..."

They will call it all manner of tragic and ugly... it is.  They will signal virtue at the victims... and the activism will begin.  But they won't admit that the new-age violence theater is partly their "product," that each of the stable of talking heads is there to deliver 'their message'... not respect.

This shooter was a war veteran who had a traumatic brain injury from being shot in the head while serving his country 

Even wrote a book about it...

We have to take better care of our vets

The suspected Southport shooter is Sean William DeBevoise,
a U.S. Marine Corps veteran

who legally changed his name to Nigel Max Edge (or Nigel Edge).

He is approximately 40 years old and lived in nearby Oak Island, NC.

DeBevoise suffered severe traumatic brain injuries during his 2006 deployment in Iraq,

including a possible gunshot wound to the head, leading to diagnoses of schizophrenia and disorganized thinking.

Public records and social media show he filed multiple lawsuits, railed against perceived conspiracies (e.g., a "white supremacist LGBTQ pedophile ring" targeting him), and self-published a book titled Headshot on Amazon. He raised funds via GoFundMe to buy a fishing boat, which he named Headshot. Video for his GoFundMe:

Local news station WXYZ 7 is live on the scene.

They had an eyewitness report of over 100 shots fired after the guy drove his truck into the church.

They said there might be more victims still inside the church, either from the shooting or the fire.

Now they are saying Henry Ford hospital in Grand Blanc is on lockdown for unknown reasons.

Within the sphere of "why" is a manner of "turning away" from the actual event... to put it bluntly.

Grief and tragic mourning is not fit for arm-chair quarterbacking... but the media will "use" every human element of the loss to something else... much more entertaining.

And that's only part of the problem with chasing the ghost of why.
