US has a nasty habit of disregarding, and virtually discarding, those who have served and sacrificed for their country.

And, indirectly, the social and economic pressures, which seem to be coming to something of a "head" most recently, can only put more of a strain, physically and psychologically, on those men and women who have been trained,, have dedicated their lives to facing, and confronting enemies and challenges head on..

They find themselves in a position where the "enemy" is a bureaucracy that does not bleed, cannot be "killed", and is relentless.  Faceless, but nevertheless deadly.

And all too often, wears the same "uniform" they were once proud to wear.


Who wouldn't lose their sanity in the face of such circumstances?

Yikes that look like the same truck, but I guess I should still say there's, um, some possibility that there was another truck that was the one with the baddie that crashed into the building, and this truck was also deliberately crashed into the building, perhaps as part of some heroic rescue attempt? Hmm. That doesn't sound plausible and I don't think there's any evidence of it but my point is that this is all unconfirmed and who knows what dots are missing.

The deranged madman who killed at least two people and injured nine others at a Michigan Latter-day Saints church, torching the building and opening fire on fleeing congregants and their families, has been identified as 40-year-old Thomas Jacob Sanford, The Post can confirm.

Sanford, a US Marine veteran, according to his mom’s Facebook page, rammed his Chevy Silverado truck into the building before unleashing the assault on the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Grand Blanc Township, Michigan, armed with a semi-automatic rifle.

Just a fine point of fact, Mormons aren't Christian. They deny the deity of Jesus.

Christianity began about 2,000 years ago in the Jerusalem. Mormonism began 195 years ago in New York.
