Feds to take control of 2000 Cali National Guardsmen for anti ICE riots

You seem to deny riots in LA. Just as the mayor stated she saw no violence.

Of course there will be because the people (people as in from all walks of life) don't want ICE in their cities/states nor Trump's personal police stopping them from peaceful protest.

What you seem to be missing is that a second protest group arrived a street over from the peaceful protesters and that is where there was the first uncontrolled violence, then they had it under control and didn't need the National Guard as per the LAPD Police Chief.

It just escalated after the National Guard showed up...pissed off the people.

The National Guard didn't even arrive till 2 days after the demonstrations/protests/riots began

  1. Initiation of Protests:
    • According to the BBC (published 13:30 UTC, June 11, 2025), the demonstrations began on Friday, June 6, 2025, following Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) raids in areas with prominent Latino populations. This marks the first day of the protests.
    • The Washington Post (published 04:23 UTC, June 10, 2025) and AP News (published 14:20 UTC, June 9, 2025) corroborate that the protests erupted in response to these raids, with clashes reported starting over the weekend (Saturday, June 7, and Sunday, June 8).
  2. National Guard Deployment:
    • AP News (June 9, 2025) states that National Guard troops were seen in Los Angeles early Sunday, June 8, 2025, on orders from President Donald Trump, following clashes between federal immigration authorities and protesters. The deployment of 2,000 California National Guard troops was ordered after a second day of clashes (Saturday, June 7), over the objections of Governor Gavin Newsom.
    • The Washington Post (June 10, 2025) confirms that hundreds of National Guard troops arrived in Los Angeles on Sunday, June 8, 2025, marking the third day of protests, to quell the anti-ICE demonstrations.
    • The BBC (June 11, 2025) notes that Trump deployed a total of 4,000 National Guard members across affected areas, including 2,000 to Los Angeles, with the deployment beginning on Sunday, June 8, 2025, after invoking a rarely-used federal law.

The LA Governor, the Mayor, and the Police Chief agree on the known facts.

These are not peaceful protests these are organized violent demonstrations. They are funded probably with our own tax dollars and as you know even peaceful protests require paperwork and approval to be consider lawful. That government paperwork doesn't happen organically by teenagers looking to throw bricks while hiding behind peaceful suckers whom they've lured in to use as cover like how Hamas does with hospitals. They are terrorist cells operating openly and freely and you cheer them on. Even 52% of the immigrant community approves of Trumps agenda.

Just wanted to reiterate that the cop clearly aimed and hit the Australian reporter with a rubber bullet.

She was not caught in the crossfire.  She was target practice.
Who shot the bullet LAPD or the guard?

It was the LAPD, just another example of them being in over their head.

More on what is happening to those being detained and why people are taking a stand.

Or, just another example of the LAPD being more than capable of being excessively in "control"?

Of reporters and photographers?

Yeah, they must have been over their heads dealing with those innocents.

I thought it already has been.

No, it has not been taken away.
But you cannot throw bricks, use flame throwers, loot, attack LEOs, block traffic, etc....you know break the law.
Riots are not peaceful assembly.

Riots are not peaceful assembly.

We were specifically talking about the tanks and troops in DC for Trump's upcoming parade. His threats and actions will only escalate violence there too.

I now see Trump said, 45 min. ago, now he will allow peaceful protesting but he didn't say that before. Someone obviously had to explain to him that he was taking away people's constitutional rights.
