Trump upset over “Tone” of Parade?

I must say that squeaking tank would have upset me too, if I was trying to show military might. Couldn't someone have greased it before the parade?

In my opinion, outside of the quoted article mentioning his alleged reaction I felt this was more about military performance(or that’s how I drew this up in my mind lol) — Drill and Ceremony within the army to be particular.

As a fellow veteran what did you think of the marching?
I thought being in period uniforms made them a bit more like route step instead of a proper dressed marching step, kind of like they were acting like they were in old footage returning from battle or something....not like it was purposefully sloppy. 
A shame Trump didn't like the parade, but at the end of the day, it's not for him , it's for the Army's birthday.

Edit to say I didnt watch the whole thing, only like 20 mins.  So what I saw some of it was good, some of it was not. if we are going for keeping in step.....

42D should have done better
Some of the guys in the first cavalry division — equipment wasn’t uniformed, handful of them were not in step. 

Wish the overall posture was better, as in — back completely upright and shoulders tucked, chin tucked. 

Front of the Armored division was not in step when saluting the President — and some of the unit didn’t dress left AT all in front of the President?? Wtf was that about? 

At times I feel like I might to overly critical of things because it was my job to be critical and notice EVERYTHING. 

That being said, marching for hours, being in front of 10,000 cameras, being in front of the President and secretary of defense — it’s nerve racking and takes a razor sharp focus to stay in line.

We did an OK job, but I think we could have looked better for the president and the world. 
I don’t want to say it but if we’re going by military standard I’m sure you remember, if one of us is fucked up — we’re ALL fucked up. Serving is a truly great honor and I’m proud to have done so.

I would give what I saw the same , to be honest, its not as terrible as what people were making out but also not perfect.

I watched the ww2 and Korean war and a tiny bit of the Vietnam era and I honestly thought they were being 'casual' on purpose lol
It's hard to explain to a civilian ,but you know how we march more loose than a lot of armies.   Swagger?
But yes 70% is about right for the 20 or so mins I saw.  Maybe 75%.
