Being 10% of 10% it fits a self-regulatory homeostasis pattern, like left-handed and ambidextrous..
I think transathletes has a limit of impact placed by biology, if it helps.
No matter what a transperson does there will always be that asterisk placed on their accomplishments. Especially if in a competitive sport that is judged against biological females where limitations of the body are acknowledged.
There really is no "heralded olympian future" for transathletes, because woke goes right out the window in the name of fairness if you take a biological female's spot for a transathlete with a noted physical advantage. Almost every time.
There the limitation is imposed. It will always be imposed so long there is a want to see the best female that exists.
I wanted to smack people going after Katie Ladecky unjustly because apparently no one has ever seen a biological female with a very built upper body before. And she's still 20 seconds slower than the guys.
So as much as i am open and embrace transgender diversity and acceptance, when it comes to top competitive sports, I want to see the top biological females own it.
Like how would I feel if The NWSL added a transathlete on Wave FC (go Sirens!). It would tarnish the legacy of Alex Morgan and Naomi Girma. 1. It would NEVER happen, 2. It would highlight the limit of my wokeness.
As there is still the Ginger Rogers/Fred Estaire bumpersticker in play when it comes to competitive women's sports.
It's been bandied around that transgender athletes should be given their own category(ies), what do you think about that?
