My current position is there is human craft and tech, then there is whatever this other stuff is about that is way way out there.  I don't know where ET fits in.

For the record, I never started anything, it started it. I had to just go along with it, maybe because I was seeking it out now, but it's not new, it's made a appearance in my life before.

Wish I could give people answers. The entities I met makes no sense, things from different ages. I don't understand it.

Because the only time I saw a 'grey' in waking consciousness was after a week or so of contact meditations and rituals (as a novice) I am convinced of a few things.
They are not native to physical dimension on Earth, they are native to the astral/spiritual higher frequencies.
When we are in certain states of focus and calm due to meditation and ritual, we emit a light, and it's like a beacon to them.
They come out of curiosity, and also as an attempt at communication and communion.
They need something we have, and I think it's related to the angelic 'spark' , if not our full soul.
They are not evil, but completely and totally, alien and Other to everything that we are. 
They have no physical bodies naturally, but put them on like suits to wear.  
This is all about the 'greys'  I do not know who created them or if they created themselves, they are lacking in some departments.
That said, they have more spiritual technology and mind tech, telepathy than we do.

What happened with you?

I saw a ‘grey alien’ in waking consciousness, while standing, in my hallway late at night/early in the morning around 2010 or so.

I did some LAM workings and some meditations on 'contact' the week before. And was deep into reading the Typhonian books by Kenneth Grant.

One night after one of these sessions, I had a dream full of fear. IN the dream I was lying on my side in the mud of a basement in a country house, kind of like Blair Witch basement. I knew there was a grey alien causing me extreme terror emotions, on the other side of my body.  I was too scared to roll over. The fear woke me up.

I rolled over, in waking consciousness. i felt something , a presence, on the other side of my bedroom door. I stood upm and walked to my door. I was fully awake and lucid at this time, in normal reality. 

I opened the door and saw something standing 2 or 3 metres ahead of me in the dark of the hallway. 

It didn’t appear like a grey, but I 'knew' it was the presence that had entered my dream whiel I was sleeping. 
As I looked there, with my physical eyes, the form was as black pixels, moving, with maybe a form underneath. Like it was trying to camouflage itself. Maybe 4 or 5 feet tall , but a black silhouette with black pixels shifting on top of it. 

When it saw that I saw it (?) it emitted a noise that to me sounded like a robotic/metallic cat. Like a metallic meow sound of surprise and then shot up vertically through the ceiling and disappeared.

I have never had anything like that happen since. i think it/they decided i was no use or interest to them , at that time.

Not physically, no.  In one of the very rare occasions I was able to astrally project willingly, years ago, the first thing I noticed was very frightening.  It was even smaller, maybe 3 feet. humanoid, male, totally white skin like paper, but a normal shaped face, kind of like an older man.  Totally black eyes, longer nose, and a grin very evil. Wearing a black robe with hood.  You could say 'malformed' due to the size and grotesque expression, perhaps.  
These days my environment is very 'clean' feeling. I think back then I was not as proficient or tight at keeping things separate.

That type of figure is common, is that what you mean?

I hear similar things from other people who astrally project or skry.
