Charlie Kirk shot at an event in Utah

Charlie pissed off a lot of people with his rhetoric which spans all political, social, religious and cultural spectrums.

Can you find one righty who celebrated his murder?

Many people feel like the temperature is different, or the world is more extreme. And I can appreciate things are different just because the world is, but I also think instant news and social media has made us more aware of the state of humanity.

There has always been tragedy, chaos and horror. There has even been ideological and social division, enough to make powder kegs of political violence.

I know I'm younger here, but I'm old enough to know that a political movement was born out of distrust of federal power.

Two incidents where it would be easy to villainize the victims, but conviction on rights acknowledges wrong doing. Ruby Ridge and Waco created a movement against the federal government, and part of that with good reason. That tension however lead to Oklahoma City. The argument on which side has to own all of that is moot to me. I only bring it up because I think it's important people realize we aren't suddenly cast in a period with unique tension.

The left had their instances with the LA riots, weather people, and George Floyd.

I don't think it's a contest. I don't think we're in some unique timeline with problems no other generation had to grapple with. The country and world are always nuanced, and equally as hard to navigate for every generation. If anything, I feel for today because of the blatant shallowness we celebrate.

To be fair, both perspectives can exist in a country of 350 million people, don't you think?

It's OK if we both have divergent thoughts and histories. Im 60, different life experiences, politics was always in the news, BUT for my family and friends on my particular timeline, it wasn't a priority... we had family, faith, and finances, and those keep us busy full time

IF and when something big happened, we rolled with the punches and carried on. It didn't dominate our day or discussions. Challenger was a big deal, Simpson and King, I can't even remember where I watched the Bronco chase, but heard the verdict in the elevator, leaving work, and we went to dinner as planned

I remember the Fall of the Berlin Wall was the most significant thing politically till 9/11, but ive been working since 85 and we went full bore with basically 2 weeks at most during the summer and 2 weeks for holidays.

I was on the road out of town on 9/11, drove home for 6 hours, and had to go back out of town the next day
and for the rest of the week.

FWIW, everybody in my family and professional circle was the same way.

And I know it was a better approach, for the average Joe, being plugged in politically just zaps energy that would be better used in other facets of your life

As for now, sure, CS every generation has its events, but it's how we respond to those events. I know my grandparents were indeed the greatest generation, and my parents had it relatively easy, and they still have superior coping skills to 80% of their contemporaries, because they had spent enough time interacting with the real world, they can handle anything at incredibly young ages...DOING THINGS ROUTINELY that later generations would pass out or throw up if they had to do the same

So far maybe some members of the Goyper Army, who are alt-right white supremacists, because of their negative confrontations and disagreements with him, but I can't prove they celebrated his murder in a callous manner as some other people did.

Sounds like a no.
Do you need more time to try to find a righty who celebrated his murder or can we finally agree it’s the left who’s celebrating?

Because thats people's irrational paranoia and fear talking... Their influence was limited and is waning

Quote:
  • Trolling and Infiltration: Famous for Q&A disruptions at events, aiming to expose perceived hypocrisies (e.g., asking conservatives about U.S. aid to Israel or interracial marriage).
  • Violence and Extremism: While not formally structured, members have been linked to threats and harassment. In September 2025, the shooting death of Charlie Kirk at Utah Valley University reignited scrutiny, with speculation (unconfirmed) tying the suspect to Groypers due to their long feud. Fuentes has denied involvement and expressed fear of backlash.
  • Platform Bans: Fuentes has been deplatformed from major sites (e.g., YouTube, Twitter pre-2022, PayPal), but the group remains active on X and fringe platforms. In 2024, they ran a "Groyper War 2.0" propaganda campaign targeting Trump's campaign.
  • Described by watchdogs like the ADL, SPLC, and ISD as fascist, white supremacist, and a vector for normalizing extremism within the GOP.
The group splintered in 2021 over internal disputes (e.g., infiltration fears), but Fuentes remains the central figure.
How Many Are There?
The Groypers are not a formal organization with membership rolls, making exact numbers impossible to pinpoint. They function as a decentralized online network of followers, trolls, and activists rather than a structured group like the Proud Boys. Estimates from extremism researchers suggest:
  • Core Activists: A small cadre of 5–20 prominent figures around Fuentes, including influencers like Patrick Casey (formerly of Identity Evropa) and Jaden McNeil (America First Students). Offline events draw dozens at most.
  • Online Supporters: Thousands of loosely affiliated fans and meme posters, primarily on X and Telegram. Fuentes' following on Cozy.tv and past platforms hovered around 50,000–100,000, but active "Groyper" engagement (e.g., using the avatar or participating in campaigns) is likely in the low thousands.
  • Analysts note they are "mostly young, and there aren’t a lot of them," punching above their weight through viral tactics rather than mass mobilization. For comparison, similar far-right groups like the Goyim Defense League (a separate neo-Nazi network using "goyim" in its name) have only dozens of core members and thousands of online backers.
In summary, the Groypers represent a vocal but fringe effort to radicalize the American right, with influence amplified by digital savvy but limited real-world scale. Their activities have drawn widespread condemnation for promoting hate, though they claim to defend "traditional values."

Thanks. Kinda like the Kiss Army huh
My opinion is this kid is as far left as he could be. I mean hell that italian song is also an antifa song
Not sure if this has been mentioned but from the reporting I read this:
Quote:...messages between Tyler Robinson and his roommate revealed information about the alleged plot including details about a rifle, matching the description of the weapon recovered after the shooting.

In my view that makes the room mate an accomplice.  He did not go to the police, knowing that there was a murder plot. He needs to also be arrested and this needs to expand out from there.
I am also suspicious of the father.
Him turning in his son may simply be a deflection, a planned way of shielding others including himself - agreed with the shooter.  Which would be why the shooter is staying silent.
The movement to radicalize the American right is much bigger than "groypers". Trump himself personifies it.
