What we need to look for is it slowing down. What is crazy is if you really understand the rotation of planets around the sun they are not in a line. Not Symmetrical. We are moving and it is a crazy type of orbit. So, this is a very unique. Coming very close.

Could someone explain to me why, when a respected scientist finally takes the idea of life in outer space seriously (as I believe they all should), they become credulously obsessed by it? Loeb sees an alien spaceship in every passing space rock. Chandra Wickremasinghe, the panspermia guy, finds alien 'viruses' (that only he can see) in every meteorite he examines. What is it with these guys?

This video doesn't make sense. At 22:22. He begins to explain that everyone's mind will be wiped blank, and no one will know anything, but what the government puts in their head.

If they have that capability why would they stage a alien invasion and launch nukes? When they could skip the staged invasion and just brainwash everyone from start?

If they are just wanting to kill off some people, they could either brainwash them into doing it their self. Or nuke a bunch of people and brainwash what is left.

The point is, you went through a bunch of unnecessary stuff only to brainwash people afterwards, when you could have just brainwashed them to begin with.

Humans tend to fear the unknown, the strange®.  

Things, or events, occurrences which are unique or never before experienced, tend to elicit this kind of fear. And fearful humans have been known to do unfortunate things to themselves and others.

The media, by "pushing" this, may (conscious or not) be serving to "normalize", or at least, demystify, and thus reduce the potential for fear-driven acts.

And yes, sometimes the best way to deal rationally with a fear is to hyperbolize it out of proportion, to the point of absurdity, and thus "drain" it of its power to frighten.
