The explosion of crazy human behavior will be too diverse to easily catalog as the objective falls out of our reality, leaving most of humans without an anchor in their turbulent seas of subjective interpretations of our common shared experience.

As an example, you will find groups of humans fighting online as to who is ‘real’ in their claims of having telepathic contact with the ‘beings on 3I/ATLAS’. Yep. They will fight about who really is in contact with the space aliens. There will be lots and lots of variants of these subjective experiences including some with invading armies, and others with a single giant ‘aware and conscious’ rock. It’s going to be wild. And then get stranger.

Humans will start claiming that the ‘AI’ is talking to them. That other aspects of our reality are being used as ‘conduits’ or communications channels to the Non Human Intelligences. Many many people will be speaking to all manner of ‘gods’, or the servants of the gods, ‘angels’ and ‘demons’.

We will have the rigidity of the social order under stress as the objective reality substrate to all human behavior becomes far less than ‘solid’. Is it because of 3I/ATLAS? Or the idea of 3I/ATLAS? Or how power groups are using both? Is it aliens? Universe? The Voyager Contact?

Will we ever know the cause?

It is strange how the tail of debris extends in its forward direction towards the sun. Kinds makes sense too as this is the side of the rock getting heated up as it gets closer to the Sun. As the rock is on its way out, the tail should be following by then.

If there was life once on it, how would it be holding up after millions of years through deep space? It is interesting that organic compounds have been found in the mix of substances like silicon and water. Could it leave some kind of bacteria in the trail of its dust, to eventually find a ways to settle on some of the planets? It does get close to the orbits of a few planets, does not get close enough to affect Earth.

I would like to posit something...Think 2001 Monolith. 

What if these interstellar objects, crop circles, UAP demonstrations etc. 

Aren't anything more than just that, demonstrations. What if they aren't anything more than to make us think outside the box, try to reconcile what we do know with what we don't know yet. What if we're relearning our nature and history in a slow Russian-Doll style method of revelation?

It'll be way more impactful and meaningful and accepted when we 'discover' the answer for ourselves. Would you really learn anything if Awiens just showed up on the White House lawn to take photos with The Don? 

The goal is to think about what's beyond the horizon, what's exciting and unsettling to us. You are now thinking, you are now the homo sapiens wise being engaged in thinking. Mission accomplished.

What if they aren't anything more than to make us think outside the box

or they could be fodder to give you 1000 ways to attempt to pursue "truth" that seems enticing but leads to nothing definitive or useful

for entertainment purposes perhaps

or to guide you to a way of truth that cannot be taught or instructed, only learned

like herding paranoid cats, just attempt to lure them everywhere except where you really want them to go

Anton Petrov is a nutter scientism extremist, trying to publicly shame Avi Loeb because Loeb’s ideas don’t fit his worldview... and getting it completely wrong.

Petrov hasn’t even bothered to understand Loeb’s position, which is instead of spending billions chasing microbes, the public would rather see that money go toward the search for intelligent life.

As for 3I Atlas... Loeb said it could be alien. Could be. Not "is," not "must be"...  just a possibility, because nothing rules it out until it gets closer. That’s why Loeb argues we should have deep-space probes ready to check these things.

I would ask how we would possibly go about mounting a "defense" against something that has already survived the rigors of an interstellar transit?

Definitely "It depends".

If it's an unfriendly civilization far advanced from ours, who've hopped across the galaxy for millennia and are looking for more colonies and forced labor... yeah we'd pretty much be SOL.

BUT... would they be like our first crewed mission to Proxima Centauri will be?  Unarmed, unarmored, on a one-way trip, and at the end of their fuel and supplies?  We'd be checking out the system's other planets as well, and hoping the locals don't blow us out of the sky for being there.

So unless there's hostility we shouldn't show hostility.  But we should monitor carefully in case the unknown object is indeed more than a rock.
